i get way better search results on altavista and yahoo

this update is WORSE than florida

google is becoming useless to find relevant info (where it once used to excel). what's new and promising out there?

ive tried yahoo, alltheweb and altavista in the past time and got better results on them then i got on google

Try Vivisimo, I've been having a bit of luck there. It's a meta search engine and has a cool clustering system.

Post Florida a comment that more and more 'professionals' (ie not just surfers) are making. The surfers will slowly start to be told or realise and follow. Unless Google gets it act together something new will be taking its place.

Of course the stupid thing is Google still (apparently) fails to see the problem :)

The big difference is the difference in yahoo and google results now, its almost as if yahoo is using the old google listings still.
