making it beyond the basics. getting to the point where you are able to sock away some serious cash (if you're smart), or start purchasing things you really can't afford (if you're not), or hopefully falling somewhere in between.

we saw these people grow up in terms of adult (not true in all cases, and some may be much farther ahead than others)...
