hmmm, not much chance of one of my ex-in laws leaving me anything, that is for sure
|
I received a phone call from an Attorney
...this morning. A total shocker. One of my ex mother-in-laws is in intensive care...in a coma...and she has a no resucitation order...thus she will not be given water or feeding...so unless she comes out of the coma...she will pass in a matter of days.
What is even more of a shocker is...she has a will leaving her estate to me...which according to the Attorney is somewhere around a quarter million. I have not seen her in years...but we have stayed in touch. I have always liked her and hope she pulls through this. |
you have a problem with your sig dude
|
Why are you getting everything? What about her flesh and blood?

How is hubby? Have the addition finished? BTW :drinkup |
I just received a call from the hospital...she passed away. I have called a nurse in to take care of my mother...and I am leaving now to go out of state...I do not know when I will be back.
|
did you get much when your dad died (path finder - just incase you forgot your first user name) or was it pretty handy that no will had to be written as you are one and the same?
BTW are you also your ex mother-in-law? |

Thread officially stole by "theking". :1orglaugh

I thought DNR orders were for "heroic measures," not food and water! That's not a good way to go. I hope she pulls through for you.

What Do Bungee Jumping And Sex With A Prostitute Have In Common? They Both Cost About $100, Last About 30 Seconds, And If The Rubber Breaks, You're A Dead Man.

The thing is theidiot thinks we are going to believe him.
About as believable as a son posting a message on GFY because this was the board his Dad was surfing when he passed away. But if it is true, maybe he can buy somewhere decent to live and get out of that shack he posted here. :1orglaugh |

General suggestion to people: discuss some scenarios with your loved ones about when you'd want "the plug pulled" (figuratively), and if you haven't assigned medical power of attorney to someone, you should do so, even if it's a cheap form from a home software kit...you don't want to have a court-appointed stranger overruling the wishes you've discussed with your family. |

I am back. I have control of my ex mother-in-law's estate. She made it easy. She had me down as the benificiary on her bank account...investment accounts...except for one...and her home was not put in my name...so the latter two have to go through probate...but other than the time involved it will not be a problem. The accounts that I was down as benificiary was simply a matter of filling out some forms and mailing them along with a death certificate...and the accounts will be changed into my name.
I am currently living in the home...and I am going to make it permanent. My mother likes the new nurse and has agreed to allow her to live with her. I have already been back to California and moved some of my belongings. I have made arrangements to sell the remainder of my properties to a single buyer...so all of my investments will be in mutual funds...thus I will be hassle free. I am in Oregon...I like the area and I am just a few miles from the ocean. It rains alot in this area but I don't get out much anyhow...so that will not be a problem. I just got back online today. |
Take some pictures of the view :)

sorry for your loss. you rarely know how much you touch a person in life. seems like you had a big impact on her - best of luck in your new home.

People can survive for quite some time without food or water, especially if they are on a ringers drip. DNR is do not resuscitate, meaning that if their heart or respiration stops they will not attempt emergency measures.
This sounds more like some kind of living will than a DNR. |

So where is you profit? I know this by living in a house in London Gants Hill for 20 years. Bought it for $18,000 sold it for $500,000 3 years ago. If I had wanted to buy another like it I would have spent all the money I had. Moved to Czech where it's a bit cheaper. You give yourself away so easily. You are one of life's dreamers. |
