CNN.com http://i.cnn.net/cnn/2003/US/03/11/s...b.pentagon.jpg |
do we need a third thread about that thing?
|
They said it went off near Pensecola. Did not hear anything in Tampa. I did go outside to see if you could see the 10,000 ft cloud they said it would produce.
|
CANDID HOSTING! :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup
Keep me running boys....... Nice.... |
So that's what it looks like. Wicked.
I bet that thing could level the downtown section of a small city. |
Why is the USA allowed to test bombs and make them?
|

Shithead.... when are you going to realize that Saddam is a fucking dictator? He's murdered thousands of his own people, threatened and invaded other countries, and can cause a major upset of massive proportions in the world if left unchecked. Why can't you just give your head a shake and quit chirping like a moron? |
Quote:
Wait, that's what everyone would use them for. |
Quote:
When in the past 100 years has the US invaded canada or Mexico? When is the last time the US decimated one of it's own towns and slaughtered all the people? Hello? |
Guys, there are like 400 threads of this type of shit, and every single one of your idiotic objections have been addressed and answered and covered over and over. How many fucking times do you guys need to be told?
How many threads do you need to jump on and re-chirp the same old birdshit? |

shit I forgot what I was gonna say |

So have yours. And once again we never gave a RATS FUCKING ASS what Sadaam did to his own people. When the fuck are you going to realize the US only brings that shit up when it suits their fucking cause. |

On every single thread I've read I have seen you guys get your arguments and objections beaten to shit over and over again. Look.... I've said this at least 10 times myself.... I'm all for peace too, but not "at all costs". I think making Iraq disarm right now is the right thing to do, and I think that for many reasons. ONE such reason is that you don't know what intelligence reports the president is privy to. He likely has good reason to do what he is doing based on those intelligence reports, of which you know fuck all about. Sure, guys like you demand that he show you proof, but that's not the way it works and you should know that. You are of course free to object, that is your right.... a right that has been and will continue to be defended by your country's government and military I might add. My question was... when are you going to shut up already? When? How many fucking threads do you idiots need to hijack with the same old bullshit over and over and fucking over?? Fact is, it appears that shit is going ahead and happening in Iraq in spite of all your anti-bush anti-US BS. |

Look here stockticker.....
http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/03/11/spr...oab/index.html From that article..... READ... "But military officials tell CNN that the MOAB is mainly conceived as a weapon employed for "psychological operations." "The goal is to not have a war. The goal is to have the pressure be so great that Saddam Hussein cooperates," said Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. "Short of that, an unwillingness to cooperate, the goal is to have the capabilities of the coalition so clear and so obvious that there is an enormous disincentive for the Iraqi military to fight against the coalition and there is an enormous incentive for Saddam Hussein to leave and spare the world a conflict." Military officials say they hope the MOAB will create such a huge blast that it will rattle Iraq troops and pressure them into surrendering or not even fighting. " He also said that in a news conference earlier, in front of tons of cameras and microphones. Doesn't sound like the US is doing all that much war-mongering there, in fact it sounds like Saddam/Iraq is being given every chance in the world to do the right thing here. If the roles were reversed.... do you think Iraq would show the same restraint, patience and responsibility? If you do I have some nice lake frontage for you to purchase, cheap cheap. |
thats not the bomb that they are showing on television. the "moab" that foxnews is showing is yellow and looks like some type of submarine.

So it is a reason. Just not the only one. I mentioned it because it fit in with the whole "being responsible with weapons" angle to the discussion. |
fuck me, I live in Pensacola and didn't hear shit!

Get your facts straight. You seem very ignorant. |

I don't have time to go digging for *your* facts dipshit. |
I used to live on Eglin AFB where they tested the bomb. The base is about 60 miles across at the point where the testing range is. Read some local news sites and they said that the bomb was barely felt in Navarre Beach which is probably 30 miles from where they detonated it at. The cloud was supposed to be 10,000 feet. I used to hear shit blowing up in the middle of the night on the bombing range and it would scare the shit out of people sometimes. Some of the things they tested sounded like it was blowing up outside your window.
Went out on the bomb range a few times and it was pretty cool. We would find dozens of tanks blown to shit and bunkers that were nothing but craters. Lots of depleted uranium slugs from A10's or whatever else they were testing out there. Shitloads of Rattlesnakes too.. |

Iranian gas not Iraqi gas killed the Kurds http://www.nytimes.com/2003/01/31/op...b6c3c76ea6ffe5 So what decimation were you referring too? |
Quote:
Didn't see a cloud either... sitting here miding my own business. Gah I really should pay more attention to what the hell is going on! Missed a bomb in my backyard! |

There are plenty of articles and news interviews and comments from people in the know that have covered a lot of examples of oppression by Saddam on his people, including the use of WMD. They're out there... your problem is that you aren't reading them or listening to them. You're only interested in the things that support your opinion, obviously at the expense of the truth. Once this war is over and the US digs around in Iraq, I have a gut feeling that they will find all SORTS of further horrible evidence of extreme opporessions etc...... and hopefully then it will shut guys like you up once and for all. |

Bikinimouth --- I don't need to provide you with hard fuck all. Other people have been over there and have provided those facts. What... you expect me to to get on a plane and fly to the middle east and go dig up a charred body for you? What are you, retarded as well as blind? Look at what woodman posted and shaddap for fuck sakes. People like you make me physically sick. |
CdSmith, I'm not gonna side with anyone but, we (Americans) did in fact invade Mexico in 1916, we did not leave until 1917.
|
Quote:
Was it anything like the Iraqi invasion/occupation of Kuwait? Did another country have to come in and kick the USA's ass out of mexico in 1916? Did the US set fire to millions of dollars of property and industrial installations before they left? I don't know.... I don't see any relevant parallel. |
