So Apple released a new operating system
A few years ago Apple released a new OS that allowed them to sync up calendars. I found this rather humorous at the time because my wife and I had been doing this for some time. Her calendar syncs up to mine, and I can view it on any device.
Just a few days ago Apple released another new OS. The highlight seems to be have been that you can sync up multiple devices - They said "you can start an email on your PC, finish it on your laptop, and send it out from your tablet". I'm really confused. For the past four years now I've synced up all of my PCs, all of my laptops, my tablets, and my cell phone. You mean to tell me that Apple computers have been unable to do this until now? |

Richard, it's more along the lines of "the features power users have been using for some time are now widely available for the less tech-savvy masses".
edit: ps. yes, of course you could do all of what you described on macs as well. |
Easy to do with Gmail, Outlook, etc.
Like Mickey said though… man watching my parents use a computer is brutal, LOL. |
If you like Android stuff, you'll love it on Apple 2-3 years later. :1orglaugh

The best thing about the new release of OS X is the coinciding release of Swift which will be a game changer for App development for both OS X and iOS SpriteKit, SceneKit and some of the under the hood improvements to X Code are much better than Continuity and Handoff IMHO. |

Yes that's what they did and they had a big meeting to announce it.

The only advantage my iPad tablet has over my Andriod, is with the map. On the apple map, I can zoom out for a entire city view, I can then search for say Best Buy. The apple map will then drop little pins at all the Best Buy locations in that area. Meanwhile on my Android map, if I do the same, it will only show the Best Buy closest to me. Now on the flip side I like to Kayak, and Apple Maps does a horrible job at accurately showing rivers and their routes. Half of the rivers usually do not even show up on the map. For this I have to use my Andriod or go to a online map source. |

Two years later they can sync up email? The rest of the world has been doing this for what, five years now? Mac people keep raving about their product but it seems to me they are years behind. |

The email thing is not that at all. It's a new feature where you can start typing a document, email or anything, on one device, move to another device and it shows you exactly where you were on the other device. So, you start an email on your iPhone or iPad, and then you move to your laptop or mac press a doohicky and the email or doc is exactly as it was on the other device. It also will route calls, so if your phone is upstairs charging, and it rings and you have your iPad there, means that you can answer the call on your iPad. Next time, try and read up on what something is before you post making yourself look dumber than Markham. And it's not a new operating system. And it's not released. Other than that, spot on. (and the calendar sync has worked for years) Mocking someone for what OS they like is really stupid. Mocking someone about things you clearly have no comprehension of and are totally wrong about is beyond ridiculous. |

Don't you Apple haters have yet another Anti-Malware update to download?

I guess I either missed that memo, or you believe Rochard's incorrect statement about the incremental OS update. |

I had no idea you could get a call on your android phone upstairs and take the call on your android tablet. I apologise for mocking Rochard. However, arguing about which OS is "best" is fucking pointless and for cunts. Use whatever works for you. |

Apple is really doing shit, and think people are blind. I agree fanboys will eat every shit but this is deep shit what they call new and spectacular

I mean, really, why does anyone care what OS anyone else uses? It is astonishing. |

I think I must be about the only person in the world who uses my 'smartphone' mostly for 2 things:
1. Looking at websites when I'm waiting for someone/something. 98% 2. Making and receiving phone calls. 1% |
