Everyone i know seems to be having kids lately

This past year or so i've lost count of how many friends have either just had a kid or expecting a kid in the next few months. I guess we are all at that age now.

I'm 33 now and still not looking to have any yet.

What age did you have your first kid or do you think you will go through life without having any at all ??

:question:question

Choopa Phil 05-20-2014 10:14 AM

Never ever ever ever ever ever!

TurboAngel 05-20-2014 10:17 AM

No kids here but I do have a stepson, I love him dearly and sooooo glad I didn't have him as he was a 10 pound baby!

Tom-LifeSelector 05-20-2014 10:22 AM

I think it is a really bad tendencies to have children around 35 but it is typical in Western-Europe and in the North America. You will be around 60 when your "kid" gets his/her first degree. I would prefer 'till 30...

seeandsee 05-20-2014 10:30 AM

and i see that many weddings in my spot

RummyBoy 05-20-2014 10:35 AM

A lot of people have kids because its the done thing..... get married, have kids.

A lot of people do things because its conventional, even if its highly expensive, inconvenient etc etc.

I had my first when I was 35. If you had told me when I 33 that I would have a kid I wouldn't have believed you.

Manfap 05-20-2014 10:48 AM

33? Scotand.. You should be a grandparent.. :)

We had our first when I was just under 20, had her in March, got married in April and turned 20 in August. We had 3 more, for a total of 4 kids and are still married, just celebrated our 30th Anniversary - first marriage for both of us and they are all 4 our kids - which I guess is completely UNheard of to hear them talk, these days. When I was growing up, my parents split when I was 7 and that made me the freak - now my kids are all grown up but 1 and I am the freak for being married to their dad for so many years. lol

I wouldn't have it any other way and I just have one left at home - but by the same token, if you don't want them, please don't have them, it isn't fair to them or to you! I live and breathe for mine, but that's because I always wanted a big family.

armysmoke 05-20-2014 10:57 AM

Had my first son when I was 30.

There isn't a damn thing convenient about having kids, that is for 100% certain, it's anything but convenient. lol

deltav 05-20-2014 11:00 AM

Yup. Early 30s it was like 10 marriages each summer. Now everyone's having kids, my FB feed is an endless stream of baby photos. My lady and I are one of the few holdouts - I could probably go thru life without any, but if it happens I'm 100% down with that too. For whatever reason just never got that strong parental instinct.

Scott McD 05-20-2014 11:08 AM

I think i'm maybe too selfish just now to have a kid.

When i'm not working i like my own time. Doing things if and when i want. Having a kid means you get up when they get up, spend any free time keeping them amused. Watch whatever shit tv they wanna watch. And whatever else in between.

I might be ready one day, but not yet...

thegreatestporn 05-20-2014 11:10 AM

I can't stand kids, the crying and complaining (everyone says that changes for your own kid, I don't believe it). Been married a few years. No birth control. No kids yet. I'm not disappointed. If it happens though, it happens. They seem okay once they hit 10 or so, whatever the age is where you can talk to them coherently (which might be never actually).

L-Pink 05-20-2014 11:19 AM

I have never seen the upside to having a kid. I've never "accidentally" gotten someone pregnant. Thank God I've never had child support either.

edit: And if I would have had a child I can't even imagine the unpleasantness of dealing with the kids mother while having moved on to someone else.

wehateporn 05-20-2014 11:35 AM

29

Not many friends left without kids now :2 cents:

96ukssob 05-20-2014 11:40 AM

Same here... actually been going on for years.

Luckily I have a pocket of friends here that don't have kids and all a bit older in their late 30's early 40's... I'm mid 30's myself.

My ex wanted to have kids, but NO WAY could I go through with that.

I'd still like to have a kid (with a normal spouse haha), I think it would be fun, but after seeing what so many people go splitting up and having their kids used as weapons, it's a hard decision to make.

You have no idea.

Having a kid changes your life. Your life right now is empty; You think you love your wife but you have no idea what love is really about until you hold your own child in your hands for the first time. For the first time ever you will truly love someone no matter what, and they will love you back. It's not like your spouse that can leave you at any moment.

Second at 30
Third at 33

38 now and all done :) It may have been a bit young, but I'll only be 45 when my oldest heads off to college. I like that Im not to old to enjoy them and I will still have MANY years to travel and relax after they are gone. I know some guys having their first at 40, 45 etc. They will be in their 60s+ when the kids are teenagers. That doesn't sound appealing to me, lol.

BlackCrayon 05-20-2014 12:17 PM

had one last year at 35. i never thought i'd have kids but after the initial huge adjustment its been pretty great. i figured if i never went though with it i'd regret it when i'm too old to do anything about it. having a family gives a whole new meaning to your life and what you do with it and how you see yourself.

Rebel D 05-20-2014 12:18 PM

First at 29 2nd at 30 3rd at 35 and all done!!!!

KickAssJesse 05-20-2014 12:18 PM

Just because you're 33, doesn't mean you have to have kids. 29 here and NOPE, not for me :2 cents::2 cents:

xpimp 05-20-2014 12:19 PM

29 here, married once but gladly no kids were involved and nothing else to share after, so this time i was lucky enough to get away pretty damn cheap.
I don't think i will do it again, a kid in the future(let's say 35) yes as an idea to pass your belongings, but marriage? i don't think so.
I don't want to generalize here, i know that happy marriages do exist, but, in many cases, like was mine, the women changed dramatically after the "deal" was signed.
A "symbolic" marriage i would accept if i see that she wants only to see herself with that wedding dress and have that feeling that she was a once bride in her lifetime, it could be a costly "fairy tale", i don't mind that, but it must not imply to sign anything.

I'm not in any way against the idea of marriage, but i'm against the idea to offer any power of control to a women over me or my belongings and, unfortunately, the marriage can offer that degree of power.
Once a woman knows that she can take half of your belongings and strangle you with child support for many, many years, you may not believe how she may start to behave and abuse from that power.
One more thing, i'm sure that many know but i will say it just to make sure for other ones: if you still plan to get married, make sure at least that you have your own property and don't ever fuckin' go on her playground.

_Richard_ 05-20-2014 12:20 PM

i am trying now

interesting the difference of 'kid isles' for eastern europe and north america

it's like one part of the world wants to have kids

and the other part just wants to be kids. forever.

RebelR 05-20-2014 12:22 PM

At 37 I had my first, and last. We hadn't really considered it before then, but when it happened I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Ross 05-20-2014 12:25 PM

I'm at the stage now where every conversation leads to the inevitable "so when are you guys going to have kids" question. Been married for 1 year now, turning 31 next month and my response is always the same.. "we're not".

I think it's very rude of people to ask that question but apparently in North America it's very common and people don't think twice about asking it, regardless if they know your situation or not. For all they know, we may not be able to have kids and its a hurtful thing to say, this isn't the case, we simply don't want kids but still, the ignorant fucks who continue to ask me that, don't know this.

TL;DR: I'm not having kids, ever!

mineistaken 05-20-2014 12:26 PM

If you were from the future of 50 years you would be saying - everybody is having grandkids at the age of 33. I am talking about muslim welfare baby factories and that if you were from the future you would only know muslims as they are overtaking.

Everytwhere it is common and considered ok question.
Another I hate - when will you marry.

Nice_Nick 05-20-2014 12:39 PM

Kids can be a royal pain in the ass. It's true that you have to watch what they watch, put up with tantrums, go to kiddy parties and give up your free time but they also love you 100% of the time, all the time. It doesn't matter how much you fuck up or what you say or what you do. Ok, so they say they don't like you but it only lasts a few minutes.

Having kids is very rewarding and you can look back on your life and say look what I created (and be proud of it). It's a bit different to creating your latest porn site or xxx video and feeling proud of yourself.

Sometimes I feel like i'm going to go crazy with the endless questions but I wouldn't change things for the world.

Evil Chris 05-20-2014 12:42 PM

Most people grow up and have kids eventually.

VikingMan 05-20-2014 12:43 PM

The problem with kids is that fathers and the best interests of the child get trampled on in family court. All they care about in family court is how they can enable the mother to do all sorts of horrible things to the father and their children. They do whatever they can to suspend reality and blame everything on men. Men are abusers and "oppressors" in their hate filled minds. If a woman attacks her husband it is because he was emotionally abusing her or "controlling" and she was just acting out in defense.

So one day you can be a father having the time of your life raising your child and the next day you can be in jail and instantly have all your parental rights terminated just by the woman going into court and saying "I am afraid of him". She gets a 1 year restraining order and can move your kids and not even tell you where they are. If you try to find your kids you are violating the restraining order and will go to jail. Meanwhile the mom could have moved into a drug house and the kids could be getting abused. Nobody in the family court system is going to care unless it is the biological father who is abusing the kids. The boyfriend/step father gets a pass as long as they are with the mother.

Still want to have kids?

No this did not happen to me but it happens to lots of fathers every day right in your own hometown. You can thank the biased, hatemonger, Marxist-backed groups like WOW and other hate groups. The Violence Against Women Act has done more damage to children than anyone could imagine.

You can also thank Marxist sewer rats like this guy (yes this is a picture of a "man"). All this bullshit about fathers being oppressors and promoting the destruction of families came from shit stains like him.
