Is ICQ obsolete?
I havent used it since 2009. Just loaded it up. For some reason I remembered my ICQ number and pass of the top of my head... Like a bad omen lol.

It's been obselete since prolly 2008. Never understood why the adult industry was so attached to it for so long...
Obsolete? No.
Used as much as in the day? No. |

What I really want is a sugar daddy... GOD tells me this... OMG (I hear him through my Louboutin shoe box) "Sabrina... YOU are my Sugar Babe" Sabrina swoooons... OMG!!!! I am your Sugar Babe!!! Yeah. |
ROFLMAO!!!
fuck. |
It was obsolete when Microsoft bought them out. Now it's just bloatware.
i dont use their software its bulky :2 cents: i use miranda im :2 cents:
I still log into ICQ every day. Need to move away from that.
Still useful!
I was shocked a few years ago to hear it was still being used. I haven't used it since perhaps 2001-02?
I have only a few contacts on icq. Everyone we work with daily uses Skype these days.
Useless and full of spam and spyware.
switched to skype years ago, pity there is no option to move contacts
ICQ is obsolete. And both Skype and ICQ and insecure. Jabber (XMPP) with OTR encryption is the way to go. Fuck PRISM (Microsoft and NSA) and fuck FSB which has a total control over the ICQ conversations :2 cents:

Still use it, my list of contacts has been reduced though, still got a stack of 6 digit #'s
I use it everyday. I get a lot of work done with it. Not sure why haters hate.

Cheers! :thumbsup |

No I slept it off. Now I'm going to get out of bed and face my life. Or not. I'm not feeling very chatty today. |
Still icq is best,it's like a mail with ability to have instant communication due it's ability to handle offline message very good.So i dont even need to have it on all the time, just login, send message, log off, then login next day to respond and etc.And skype is so horrible when it comes to offline messages,i cant belive how it's possible to have it open for entire day,and get offline message which was sent days ago only next day.Had too many awkward situations due that.
I think it's still quite in use by some. Perhaps it would be more popular if people were using better clients with an option of ICQ protocol. Original ICQ client sucks nowadays. Older versions have problems with connection. Personally I prefer email. :)

I'm using it less and less in favor of Skype but my biggest affiliates still use icq for some reason. So, not going anywhere for me until that ceases to be the case.

Still load it up everyday, but don't really speak much on it these days... Skype is decent but far from perfect.

I thought aol bought it? then sold it to the Russians? |
Yes. It is. I only use Skype.
Its old, it sucks but I am forced to use it. Skype blows it away its so much better.
Despite having Skype open all the time most people contact me via ICQ.
I use Adium for ICQ so it works just fine. |
I'm still using ICQ 2003b, but pretty much only communicate with one person, and the occasional trade request.
Need to find something that uses end to end encryption. Skype is not that. |
