deltav 07-05-2013 05:22 PM

It's been obselete since prolly 2008. Never understood why the adult industry was so attached to it for so long...

baddog 07-05-2013 05:34 PM

Obsolete? No.
Used as much as in the day? No.

PromoterX 07-05-2013 05:52 PM

It was obsolete when Microsoft bought them out. Now it's just bloatware.

brassmonkey 07-05-2013 06:00 PM

i dont use their software its bulky :2 cents: i use miranda im :2 cents:

Rochard 07-05-2013 06:18 PM

I still log into ICQ every day. Need to move away from that.

globofun 07-05-2013 07:44 PM

Still useful!

ZombieMovies 07-05-2013 07:48 PM

I was shocked a few years ago to hear it was still being used. I haven't used it since perhaps 2001-02?

2MuchMark 07-05-2013 08:07 PM

I have only a few contacts on icq. Everyone we work with daily uses Skype these days.

nexcom28 07-06-2013 12:28 AM

Useless and full of spam and spyware.

scarlettcontent 07-06-2013 12:43 AM

switched to skype years ago, pity there is no option to move contacts

just a punk 07-06-2013 01:06 AM

ICQ is obsolete. And both Skype and ICQ and insecure. Jabber (XMPP) with OTR encryption is the way to go. Fuck PRISM (Microsoft and NSA) and fuck FSB which has a total control over the ICQ conversations :2 cents:

Never happened.

ErectMedia 07-06-2013 09:52 AM

Still use it, my list of contacts has been reduced though, still got a stack of 6 digit #'s

PornDiscounts-V 07-06-2013 11:07 AM

I use it everyday. I get a lot of work done with it. Not sure why haters hate.

facialfreak 07-06-2013 01:45 PM

I see you're still drinking Sabby? LOL

Cheers! :thumbsup

Supz 07-06-2013 01:55 PM

LOL.

No I slept it off. Now I'm going to get out of bed and face my life.

Or not.

I'm not feeling very chatty today.

Klen 07-06-2013 02:41 PM

Still icq is best,it's like a mail with ability to have instant communication due it's ability to handle offline message very good.So i dont even need to have it on all the time, just login, send message, log off, then login next day to respond and etc.And skype is so horrible when it comes to offline messages,i cant belive how it's possible to have it open for entire day,and get offline message which was sent days ago only next day.Had too many awkward situations due that.

Cyber Fucker 07-06-2013 02:44 PM

I think it's still quite in use by some. Perhaps it would be more popular if people were using better clients with an option of ICQ protocol. Original ICQ client sucks nowadays. Older versions have problems with connection. Personally I prefer email. :)

Yes, but in order to have this idea put to work more people have to start using it. How to convince people that there are better things to communicate? People just follow trends and easy idiotproof solutions and they ignore logic and facts.

Sarah_Jayne 07-06-2013 03:32 PM

I'm using it less and less in favor of Skype but my biggest affiliates still use icq for some reason. So, not going anywhere for me until that ceases to be the case.

Nice indicator, like I said ICQ is a must if you are really in adult business.

Scott McD 07-06-2013 05:12 PM

Still load it up everyday, but don't really speak much on it these days... Skype is decent but far from perfect.

I thought aol bought it? then sold it to the Russians?

Crazy Enough 07-06-2013 11:10 PM

Yes. It is. I only use Skype.

NaughtyRob 07-07-2013 08:14 AM

Its old, it sucks but I am forced to use it. Skype blows it away its so much better.

Cleo 07-07-2013 08:28 AM

Despite having Skype open all the time most people contact me via ICQ.

I use Adium for ICQ so it works just fine.

rowan 07-07-2013 08:35 PM

I'm still using ICQ 2003b, but pretty much only communicate with one person, and the occasional trade request.

Need to find something that uses end to end encryption. Skype is not that.
