OK after watching that Piers Morgan clip it makes me sick that we have this debate over semi automatic weapons and the gun nuts come back with "well if the teachers were armed" bullshit
I say the President should grow some balls and say "we are going to look at the Constitution as it was ORIGINALLY intended BEFORE the second amendment"

THEN say you want to take away ALL guns even handguns except for law enforcement or military.....

you start with THAT argument and these fucks will be begging to only ban their precious semi automatic weapons

problem is they start with just banning semi automatic military weapons and there is nowhere to negotiate..... if this doesnt change things than clearly nothing will

why edit the current constitution, when adding the 'bill of rights' put forward by FDR would not only solve this problem, but many problems

Obama has no interest in banning any guns or taking guns away. He's going to push for stricter laws to obtain certain guns. Which makes perfect sense.

Over 11,000 people died from DUI related accidents. Around 8,500 from guns. Should we ban cars too?

Aren't assault rifles FULLY AUTOMATIC or has the term been extended to include all semi automatic firearms like the AR15/AK47 just because of their popularity?

Medical Errors - Different set of variables altogether.

Unintentional Injuries? From? - Lots of possible factors.

Alcohol Abuse - Personal choice.

Motor Vehicle Accidents - Vehicles are getting safer every year. Driving tests should
perhaps have some new rules added or be made harder.

Unintentional Poisoning - Stupidity? FDA Regulations not being strict enough? I don't know, lots of variables again.

Drug Abuse - Personal choice to some extent, more education needed? Perhaps.

Unintentional Falls - This unintentional stuff again? could also probably include the drug abuse and alcohol abuse factors? Or perhaps health and safety concerns?

Most of them (other than the 2 homicide figures) do not Involve any intent to cause harm to someone else though do they? Mostly accidents or Personal choices.

What's retarded about it? Someone generally with a disease/illness decided to use a deadly weapon to kill or harm someone. The gun related incidents that get "politicized" are generally someone with a mental illness who decided to use a deadly weapon to harm or kill someone. There are no apples and oranges here.

There is no legit reason to buy and own a machine gun. They are designed for one purpose; to kill en masse. Hunters don't need them. Homeowners don't need them. The only ones who want them, are FREAKS.
