what would you do with 5000 domains?
 

to make a long story short I have 5000 domains at my disposal...they are not for sale, they are not developed...they are not great domains they are mediocre domains at best...not from the adult industry so no type in value...

any ideas?

With the right hosting setup, that would be a fucking goldmine.

I do well with just 10% of that amount. You dont need each domain to pull a lot of traffic, you just need each one to pull just a little traffic.

get appraisal for each one of them, then keep top most domains, other let expire.,

get something custom coded for your network like a mgp2 script or something like that and a heavy duty traffic trading script = $$$$$

Last thing I would do is a trade script.

If I link out from one of my domains, it either goes to an API join page or an affiliate link. API join page is fucking gold, if you know what you're doing.

Build up your user list while joining your users to multiple porn or dating sites. And then every time you want to make some extra cash, blast that list to something new. Do it daily.

I have the domains from another very "think-outside-the-box" project...some will expire but none are being used for anything and new ones are being added constantly...none are for sale because none of them are realistically worth over 50$ and are not worth my time selling/pushing/negotiating...id rather put them to use...currently some are on sedo parking and some still in my other project...

i like mr.pheers suggestion the best...any other ideas are also welcome...

What's the effort in selling? Just post them to domain forums priced at $20 or less. That's up to $100k. Unless there's some "out of the box" reason you can't sell them or don't want to be known to be associated with them.

posting the whole list would leave my project open to reverse engineering...

they are not worth much individually, and your estimate of 20$ is a bit on the high side...i could maybe get the reg fee for 10-20% of them but I am not the only owner I would have to split with 5 other guys...I would be doing pushes for a dollar...most domainers want it pushed to their registrar because I use a friends registrar that is a bit exotic...

I know how you can make good money of them,but cant post that in public.

actually its $45000 and that's just the unused ones...im a 3rd world fucker and 1$ in my country is like 10$ in the USA so its closer to 450.000$ to me :(

Pure shit advice. Primarily because he said they're not adult. But also because hostedtube is horrible for revenue. The traffic they sent to trafficforce from my sites, I got paid like $25 for. Same traffic would've made me over a grand, had I sold it to a broker.

Make a list of the best ones. Start to develop them and inter link them.

Start making some cash.

Point them at dating sites...

I made cents with my 40+ domains, moved them and they have made hundreds of times more in less than half the time.

I would suggest you do NOT give me lip about this. Unless you wanna start a pissing match which sees most of your hostedtube users leave. I haven't even mentioned the recent hacking fuckup, which pretty much killed my traffic on those sites and helped speed up the process of moving to a self-hosted solution.
