Sure they would if they are trying to start a war. They do not give a flying fuck about paid informants. They paid them for all the info they could get, got the info, now instead of them having to kill the informants they simply tip off the Iranians and Lebanese and they do it for them. Now they have an excuse to pump up military action against those two countries.
