We have had good success with Google Adwords, but we would never use the word "Teen". Even though it's legal, it's only barely legal (haha). When working with big companies like Google it's best not to even try to push any limits or do anything that might be considered questionable.

If it were me, I would have LEASED the domain, not pawned it. For example: You could lease your domain for any amount you like, say $50,000 a year + royalties. You can protect yourself by adding a stipulation that earnings must be X (say another $50,000) otherwise the leasee loses the rights to that domain. This way you make the money you want and protect your interests at the same time without having to do any work for it.

Mine was banned way before you for the word free. I win.

CG, it's really simple. The word TEEN has the suggestion of under-age. By not allowing this word they reduce their legal exposure.

Google is king, and you can definitely profit from their services, but they won't do business with you unless you play by their rules. This is true of ANY company.

All you need to do is to read the AUP's and decide if you can work with them.

For example, let's say you owned the name "prettyfeet.com", but you're not a foot fetish guy. One day some well established Internet marketing genius who also happens to be a Foot lover knows he can make millions with your domain and offers to buy it from you.

You know your domain can generate millions a year, but you don't know how to do it. He knows he can generate millions per year, but can't without your domain.

You're not a foot guy and you now nothing about marketing or feet, so a partnership isn't interested to you or to him. Answer? Lease. Why?

- You collect up front.
- If his idea fails, you're still paid.
- If his idea succeeds, you both make good money.
- Next year, you re negotiate.
- If you or he is not interested, you still own the domain, and can partner with someone new.
- If/when you do partner with someone new, your domain has that much MORE value.
