I own a house, almost paid for but I still have a couple years to go. Also a few land lots scattered here and there. For years I've been putting my money into real estate and so far it's paid.

..does it matter? I'd rather have my businesses pay for my housing than put down money I could invest...but I owned my first by 20 and before you ask it was by inheritance

Sold my house a couple years ago, much easier to rent here, hurricanes, tropical storms and all that goes with them is no longer my responsibility, thankfully.

One house, and one condo that I rent out. I found a brand new model home condo for sale less than a new SUV would cost so I snatched it up and I rent it out to my best friend.

People living in the US should not own a home outright as normally it does not make sense. I have a home with a mtge and 15 rental houses without in the US. Then I have 2 condos in Brazil.
