My girl just got back from picking up lunch for us from a small area diner that just opened up this last summer. The food is pretty decent and fairly priced, I'm quite partial to the bonless chicken wings and the tuna melts.
Anyhow for the season, they have introduced a new product on the menu::warning HOT LEMONAID......... First thing that comes to mind obviously is piss in a cup, but really, hot lemonaid......
Is this a big thing else where? I do live in a smaller town, but this is just so fucked up i cant imagine it is a big thing in other places and I just missed the train.... I think its time to move. And no, she didn't buy a cup of hot lemonaid.....thank god...

Yeah, then i'm out of the loop when it comes to hot drinks. I made the same face when I read that as I did when I was made aware of hot lemonaid.

Also makes me think of having a cold and some medicines like theraflu.
Perhaps they are catering to those with colds, sore throats, etc. Sort of like places that have either chicken soup or Jewish penicillin on the menu all of the time.

Keep in mind you did admit to a tuna melt which is a hot tuna fish sandwich with cheese, so it really is not that strange.

Nothing comes closer to piss in a cup than beer, strictly going by color.

You do make a good point though. I googled it, and theres pleanty of related topics about cold and flu and things of the such. It does make a little more sence now.

Theraflu/Neocitran isn't really "lemonade" flavored, more like hot lemon flavored cough syrup.

No, she's 100% positive it was hot lemonaid......... I'm pretty curious, at any rate as to the whole thing so I think tomarrow I'm gonna head over there and give it a try. Couldn't kill me, and I just might discover something I never knew I liked.

Thats a really good point. Regular cold lemonaid would not even have been worthy of mentioning. But hot, thats a little off the wall and I can see how the weirdness of it may help with selling it. Its an uncommon version of a very common thing.

Is it "real" lemonade made with lemon juice and sugar or a commercial fizzy drink with artificial flavouring? If it's the latter then it's probably going to be quite strange, since the fizzy effect diminishes as the liquid heats up...

Not to sure about that yet. They open at 10am on saturdays. Unfortunantly my "gotta try this stuff" didnt hit me til around 1am, well after they were closed.

I really hope its not the fizzy stuff, carbonation is not my friend, i'm a smooth drink guy. coffee, tea, water and whiskey, thats about it. I like beer too, but the carbonation bothers me.

Anyhow, i'll get to experience it sometime later today, and I'll give this thread a bump and report my findings. good or bad.
