I am watching her speech in Texas LIVE and she just let fly out of her mouth that the minimum wage will be at least $9.50 an hour.....That has to be a mistake on her part.

if they tie minimum wage increases ot inflation instead of waiting 10 years to raise it, it'd be better for workers and businesses.

In California where I used to live its close to $8 an hour, because California themselves passed legislation to raise it.

Where I live now in Louisiana, they never bother to do anything themselves and just follow federal guidelines. So its $5.15 an hour here.

If people are dumb enough to make a living based on minimum wage, I have zero problem with it. You can't blame a business owner when there are tons of willing to take the jobs they offer.

When I go to a fast food drive through, there better be someone to take my money. When I want to buy something at the mall, there better be sales people to help me, or I will go somewhere else with my cash.

First of all wal-mart does that anyways. By the way $9.50 at 37 hours = $8.78 at 40 hours. 25 hours at $9.50 would = 40 at $5.85. And to be honest if wal-mart is only going to pay me $234 a week then I'd rather do it in 25 hours than in 40. That's just me.

Obama in one of his speeches said that he would see that anyone that had a job would be paid a wage that a person can live off of and support a family as well which would mean more that $9.50 per hour...and in addition the minimum wage would be adjusted to meet inflation every year that he is President. He of course is talking out of his ass because that all is a congressional power and not an executive power. BTW...in order to adjust for inflation the current minimum wage would have to be $10.00 per hour to be equivalent to the minimum wage of the 70's.
