    Worst tv sitcom of all time?

    The Everybody Loves Raymond tattoo thread got my thought processes running.

    What, in your opinion, is the worst sitcom of all time. I am throwing Mamma's Family into the pot...

                                          Archie Bunker is a work of popular culture art...the British show it was based on is also good too if taken in the spirit of the time in which it was made.

                                                                                                                      Canada has had a reputation for producing some of the very worst sitcoms of all times. Things that would make money third world countries look like "skilled producers".

                                                                                                                      Particular examples include "Snow Job" (comedy based around ski instructors) and "Check it out" (the late Don Adams of Get Smart as a supermarket manager... the IQ level of this show was lower than low).

However that one with Ardal O'Hanlon (might be called My Hero) was despicably vile. How a man could go from the brilliance of Father Ted to that steaming trail of festering snot is beyond comprehension.

                                                                                                                                      OMG, I should have mentioned that because when it was on I bitched about it all the time. My lord was that pile of super shite. Firstly, I hate 'talking' babies. Secondly, Mork and Mindy has already been done. Thirdly, you are right he was too funny in Father Ted to be in THAT crap a show. Plus, whenever I have seen it there was a new kid or something on the show..if you have to change that much it is your sign that your show sucks.

                                                                                                                                              I liked ALF as a kid..to the point of having an ALF doll. Though, as you say, I would never watch it now but then it was a different time and I was of the right age.

                                                                                                                                              I also liked Golden Girls when it was on but find it stale when I watch it now. However, my sister (who is two years younger than me) loves it so much everybody is getting her the DVD box sets for birthdays, etc. However, what was that followup they had when they ran a hotel?

                                                                                                                                                      I was never a huge follower of Seinfeld but when I did watch it I found it funny. I know a lot of people that weren't a 'coaster' that didn't like it for some reason.

It was about a family of pilgrims who just arrived to the colonies in Plymouth, MA. I don't know what tv exec bought it, but i'm sure they lost their job over it. Lasted one episode.
