The subject has been brought up. For goodness sakes, it's only the capital of the world.
Vinnie from Sinister has been trying to set something up for a while.
I'll join the effort if you want to take it seriously.
TurboAngel & I would be interested in coming up if there was something going on. Besides, I have other business in the Big Apple that I could take care of at the same time.
LOL you don't know what a long distance is! Us Europeans fly all over the World to come to shows. Europe to LA is a long way. LA to NYC is a city hopper!
I'd defo go to a show in NYC. Took my girlfriend there in 2005 and we had a blast! Defo going back one day to get her more shoes from Manolo Blahnik.
i go to moscow from oz and it's more expensive than ny - i would go - i have friends there - can u organise it to be way down where the streets have names on them whatever that part is called..?
It's good idea but NY is too expensive for most of us. Not too many people can aford to stay on a $1,000 a night hotel and eat a $20 hamburger.
You can always stay in Jersey City just across the river. The PATH trains run pretty much all night.
There are a lot of really affordable places to eat and hang out. I'm sure some of the more locals will be able to direct everyone to places that are both fun and reasonable.
I've always wondered why there aren't any big shows in NYC. I lived in NYC my entire life but now I'm in Argentina. I would attend the show if it coincided with one of my trips back to NYC for sure... is there any time (month, season, whatever) you're thinking about having this?
It would certainly be nice to think about one in the Northeast where I wouldn't have to fly all the way across the States to go to a show. Plus, close to Philly so I can get a visit to the folks in too.

you can stay 10 minutes outside of the lincoln tunnel in new jersey for next to nothing, a show in NYC would only make sense it's one the greatest cities in the world, and it's about time something big went down over here.

i agree. a show late spring or early fall would be a nice time to have one.
The Sheraton in Jersey City was only $125 when I went to the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade year before last, so there are inexpensive hotels around, just gotta look around.. As far as eating goes.. There's literally millions of nice places all over.
