Best Sitcom of all Time?
 

Got into an arument yesterday with some idiot from work about the best sitcom ever. I said Married with Children, without a doubt. He said FRIENDS wtf? A lot of people agreed with him. What are your opinions?

Married with children is up there. Seinfeld was big too. Unfortunately, "Friends" is right up there... god that show is lame.

Its fucking horrible, corniest shit ever. Seinfeild is classic. Cheers is one of my all-time favorites also. Happy Days, Perfect Stangers.

I love Lucy for many reasons.

First of all Lucy was fucking brilliant, and laid the groundwork for what a sitcom is, and should be till this day.
Lucy was the first woman to own her own studio.
Lucy and Desi came up with the whole idea of syndication to begin with. Everybody after gets residuals because of her, and everyone before gets SQUAT.

As far as legend in the industry and ground breakers go it's Lucy all the way.

To this day it is still the number one syndicated show around the world.

Married with Children is one of my favorites, and there is something to be said for a show, (and the Simpsons) that were solely responsible for launching an entire network.
But even that kind of comedy, wouldn't have been possible without :
All in the Family.

Seinfeld and Cheers - have to get some honorable mentions.

Have to agree with Married with Children, but don't forget Family Ties? or Moonlighting? but most importantly The Waltons!
