XBiz serves the interests of XBiz and those who sleep with or associate when them.
It's wonderful to have an advocate for the adult industry who can remain totally unbiased and usher forward assumptions on TLD's, organize conferences with unqualified "panels" (often pulled from "industry leaders" - whoever the hell they are), explain to the industry "how it will be". I'm all shivering with excitement...

Well Tony.. it would be nice to know where XBiz proposes to take the adult industry and explain what we need to do to comply and earn a living as humble webmasters
And a bump for an answer to the simple question raised by baddog - I know XBiz very rarely visits GFY and it can take some time to construct a suitable response to a simple question

Well, I presented the same question where he resides.
The answer will determine whether I stay on as a mod or not.
i'd be shocked if we get and answer and if we do....I'd be even more shocked if it's the truth...
I was pondering the same thought
I would not only like to hear a response from them, but I would really like to know who is on the so called list of .xxx supporters that someone said they had last year and we would all be suprised at who was actually on that list.
XBIZ does not support .XXX. XBIZ only supports ASACP and FSC. This is an official statement.
Thank you Tom ;-)
It would be nice to see this attitude adopted in real life.
Why is XBiz giving attention to a second attempt at the introduction of .XXX TLD's by Lawley and giving credence to his continued attempts to line his pockets by giving him a platform to air his views and waste webmaster time at the conference next month?

Likely because it's better than turning a blind eye to it, which seems to be what 99% of the industry wants to do.
If he shows up at the conference and he's as much of a loon as he was when I interviewed him a year or more ago, then even his supporters may end up looking for the exit doors.

For those wondering why they are giving Lawley the time of day, it is my understanding that the discussion is to get webmasters in front of him and make him explain exactly what his agenda is.
So, now that XBiz has responded, what is the position of say Adult.com, Klixxx and AVN?

A comedy act on the panel can at least be an entertaining diversion edgeprod
I can understand Lawley's overwhelming concern for the world's children - that they be protected from adult content under .XXX TLD's. This has clearly been Stuart's lifetime mission and longterm goal and on a pro rata scale, heavily related to the thickness of cash notes in his pocket. Obviously sainthood is not far away...

That was the impression I got from him, too .. of course, my article had no bias, but personally .. he seemed slimy.

would be nice... but will ICANN know it? all they will see is that the ICM guys were invited to the Xbiz show and that could be interpreted as legitimizing and supporting ICM
I think this was the biggest issue some people had, when they heard ICM is gonan be at Xbiz
