The Islamist Sudanese government declared jihad against the southern people, who are a mixture of Christian, Animist and Sufi Muslim (ie. not proper Muslims according to Islamic orthodoxy).

The US has, for the last couple of years, wanted to send troops to protect the Darfur people, but the UN won't let them. The UN, for those not knowledgeable, is a mouthpiece for dictators and Islamists the world over. China, Russia and the 'Islamic world' support the genocide in Darfur and the Chinese in particular are making bank off of it.

What makes this amazing for me is the fact that even the radical left haven't blamed this on Bush or the Jews. But then again, the radical left also supports this genocide.

Not to be a downer on already sad footage but they spelled the word "Millions" wrong in the intro header....they might want to fix that so it sounds like this is coming from an educated source....not saying it isn't, it just looks bad

I just saw a piece on 60 minutes about this. Makes me sick.

I did a little research and it looks like back in 2004 the US declared it a genocide. It's 2006 now why is it still happening? I'm quite confidant that Mexico could send a force to stop this rin-tin army committing genocide.

Both the United States and Britain have been pushing pretty hard for action, but nobody is willing to do anything. On top of that, very very few countries are willing to send their soldiers into a situation where they could get hurt badly.

Sending the UN in would only make matters worse at this minute anyway, the Sudanese president has already said many times he would take any action as an action of war and will not be afraid to attack back. The UN has no real power when real atrocities present themselves, this situation is only one of many.
