Got my new Toshiba Notebook today
Too bad I won't have time to play with it until I get back. Will have to just leave it in the box so I am not tempted.
|
What model?
|
what made you wanna go with toshiba?

Little things . . .like being able to have 2GB of RAM as opposed to 1 with most of the others |
Good choice. :thumbsup Got a Satellite A100 myself.. Upgraded the RAM too to 2GB :)
|
i owned one from the Satellite series before, they are pretty good :thumbsup
|

This is going to become my primary computer so when I leave town for conventions or vacation I will be able to have all my data with me all the time. Even got LoJack for it. |

I gave mine to my dad. I used it every day though and had to get something replaced because it overheated. Only happened once and I never used it as much after so I don't know if it would have done it again. |

Got the Toshiba Satellite A105 now. Great notebook... fast with a beautiful screen. Only complaint is the fingerprint reader is a bit touchy. Congrats Baddog :thumbsup |

It has to beat the Dell I am using now :)

Touchy in that it won't let you in, or it lets anyone in? How did you get around that issue? |

There's a password override, which is what I use for access. You'll be prompted to create it when you do your initial set it up. Let me know if you have the same issues as me with the reader :) |
This is my baby. Toshiba Qosmio G-20. Would recommend this to anyone that wants the power of a desktop but the convenience of a laptop.

You are tempting me to open the box to at least see what it looks like . . . I must resist, I must resist. |
why would you need 2 gigs of ram on a laptop? unless you are doing some photo or video editing or some other apps requiring ton of ram, difference between 1 and 2 gigs is pretty much unnoticeable....
|
wow, there is no way I could leave that in the box =p
|
Cool, congrats on the lappy

It is not "just a laptop." |

trust me, every time I walk past it I am tempted, but I need to finish packing the bike first. Then I need to shower and eat. If there is time after I will at least open the box . . . maybe start uploading the LoJack and security suite. |

Awesome, should be getting my dell soon

I have a Toshiba. Sadly it is just over a year old and in the bottom cupboard never to be used again. The same problem happened to it over and over again and Toshiba would fix but not replace. Then the one year warranty expired and they refused to fix the problem anymore.
