I Need a Mainstream logo for an associate real quick, I figured I'd throw it to the talent on the board. $100 cash money for the one he likes best.

Well here's my opinion Ray; considering "talent" charges from $150+, not very likely will they join for a chance to win $100.

Not bashing you man, but normally logo contests are like $200-300 minimum in order to have the big boys join in. Quality has its price.

really low "prize" for just a chance and you have this logo contest running, so guess that's why. Anyway, here's a bump for more designers :thumbsup

like I said, it was for an associate. If it were mine, I would've had one of my regulars do it. And, you are correct, it would have cost more. But I figured I'd get a decent logo for the $100 and scan for new design talent as well.

If I'd have thrown a $500 logo contest up here, everyone and his mother would have put up a logo and big deal, it would have been a great logo. This way I get a logo AND maybe see some guys I never worked with who have great talent And are willing to be flexible with time constraint and cost. So the post was multi-purposed.

I respect that Ray I didn't know the full details and I have seen you run a bigger contest in the past I believe. Sometimes I even enter when I have free time. It's all about enjoying in what you do, not always about the money.

No offense taken. Trust me. Yes, We have run some much bigger contests, but this was just an experiment. It's funny, I'm finding out more and more how this board is a great mainstream resource as well as adult.
