RIP MyVirtualCard = Out of business

Looks like MyVirtualCard died today at 4:09 GMT -6. I received a series of emails notifying me that all of my sites have been set to inactive and this was posted on the front page of their site:

To ensure that transactions and processing continues uninterrupted, we request that you change any reference of myVirtualCard to Paymonde. Please remove myVirtualCard Links and Logos with those of Paymonde. Additionally, Paysupport.net will be changed to pisosupport.com. Please ensure that your customers are redirected to pisosupport.com instead of paysupport.net.

Seems that they forgot to send out my payment before they closed shop.

Paymonde, if you have reps in here I strongly suggest that you make a statement if you plan of having any respect within this community.

DamageX 04-07-2006 02:49 PM

What if MVC IS Paymonde? :Graucho

Kimmykim 04-07-2006 02:50 PM

WTF is going on today?

Manowar 04-07-2006 02:51 PM

Interesting

fr0gman 04-07-2006 02:51 PM

Well then they royally fucked up their transiation by requiring all of the links to be changed. I have never been happy with MVC and if I have to change all of my links I will change them to something completely different.

KRL 04-07-2006 02:52 PM

The only thing guaranteed doing business online is neverending change.

You get what ride you can and have backups always ready to go.

Drake 04-07-2006 03:11 PM

Who here uses MVC? Did you guys get paid?

4Pics 04-07-2006 03:13 PM

wow, this is big news

chupachups 04-07-2006 03:15 PM

I am baffled, and quite frankly I dont think MVC going bust is the case.

:1orglaugh

cool1 04-07-2006 03:15 PM

Damn that sucks, just when I was gonna start using them.
oh well back to the drawing board.

fr0gman 04-07-2006 03:18 PM

WEll after some communication with their tech support I have my sites back online. It was an error they said... no shit!

Rice_Master 04-07-2006 03:18 PM

No surprise here, their service sucks ass anyway.

GTS Mark 04-07-2006 03:22 PM

We use MVC and we just got our wire this week... If they were going out of business why would they even bother sending it?

Very strange indeed, they were all over Phoenix.

WiredGuy 04-07-2006 03:28 PM

So who's paymonde? Are they MVC? What's going on?
WG

Calico Jack 04-07-2006 03:28 PM

I got the emails as well for two sites I use them with. Seems all is working well, my join pages are up, my status is listed as 'Active' when I log in.
I'm just now in the process of sending them a ticket to see what's happening.
Anyone else got an official explanation?

BlueWire 04-07-2006 03:30 PM

Time to get a "legit" payment processor now for everyone that used them :thumbsup

GTS Mark 04-07-2006 03:36 PM

Frogman you dumbass LOL! You got me all worried about this and here is the real scoop.

News Flash

April 6, 2006
Important Notice - myVirtualCard announces today that it has amalgamated with its European counterpart under a single new brand entitled 'Paymonde', to satisfy banking requirements to procure new payment solutions. Paymonde will unroll, in addition to its Credit Card transaction offering, SMS billing, dialer solutions and Euro Debit.

The move has enabled myVirtualCard to seamlessly integrate platforms with their European partners, which results in increased efficiency. This move will not effect payouts or processing, which will continue as usual.

Thanks very much for your cooperation. We feel this move will allow us to become stronger and more efficient in the future, and will ultimately allow us to continue to bring the latest in billing technology to our valued merchants.

Technical Support would like to take this moment to let our merchants know that they shouldn't need to make any changes to their system, and that the transition from myVirtualCard to PayMonde should be seemless.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact [email protected].

Sounds sketchy to me. You'd think that if they had a big change in the works they would have announced it in Phoenix......

Major (Tom) 04-07-2006 03:42 PM

i didnt hear anything and howard is always there to inform me of changes. So it looks all is ok. I checked my join forms and emails and everything is status quo.

Read the reply above yours, there was no big change in the works, only consolidating business under one name.

Kenny B! 04-07-2006 03:43 PM

I got my last payment and they haven't been late up until now. The join pages are still up, but what a weird thing to do friday at 5PM!

I do believe everything is status quo but that was fun drama for a minute.

MaDalton 04-07-2006 04:51 PM

Paymonde is not that wise choice of a name - means more or less the same as Globill and Globosale :upsidedow

Stallion 04-07-2006 04:53 PM

interesting..

Phoenix 04-07-2006 04:55 PM

odd way to release important info

SmokeyTheBear 04-07-2006 05:03 PM

strange they would consolidate on a name that was just purchased days ago.. you would think if you planned on a name/logo you would buy the url well ahead of time..

Deej 04-07-2006 05:03 PM

I say Nay Sir

Raven 04-07-2006 05:13 PM
