Everyone born before 1980 has played with it.

EdgeXXX 03-12-2006 05:30 PM

Yeah, it easy as hell. You just start peeling off the stickers and putting them back on so that the colors match... LOL

chupachups 03-12-2006 05:31 PM

As a 5 year old I moved all the stickers to solve it. My older brothers kicked the shit out of me....:(

PixeLs 03-12-2006 05:37 PM

Once or twice. I am not even good on it.

tony286 03-12-2006 05:47 PM

yep they were a fun way to pass the time.

xclusive 03-12-2006 05:52 PM

Rubik's Cube is easy the hard one is the one just like the orginal but you have to make it into the cube along with mathing up the colors.

d_train 03-12-2006 06:21 PM

a fellow geek taught me how to solve it back in high school. the center cube in each face will be your referrence color. but it takes me more than an hour to solve it

What's more fun than solving it the tradional way is making the colors spell "OHIO" and yes it can be done. The OHIO puzzle was one of the old school mod solutions.

sniperwolf 03-12-2006 06:48 PM

been there...

ackanime 03-12-2006 06:50 PM

I remember seeing one of those painted with nail polish. It was pretty awsome, they painted it to look like a galaxy. Really nicely done.

my brother would kick me in the ass everytime I would do that. he said once you move the stickers, there's no way you can solve the cube again coz everything is disarranged

haha i remember doing that :1orglaugh

stickyfingerz 03-12-2006 08:12 PM

I was trying to find the name of it but besides rubix cube we had a rectangle style chain link game. You had to slide the pieces up and around in order to get all three sides the same colors. Those two and the old simon says game that you had to hit the colors the same as the game did. All the good old late 70's and early 80's. :upsidedow

The best I could do was get one side and all of one color but one square on another side.

The easiest method for solving it was to take it apart and put it back together.

sfera 03-12-2006 08:42 PM

many mmoons ago

sickkittens 03-12-2006 08:43 PM

The best I ever did was get it 3/4ths done...then I fucked it up.

tristan_D 03-13-2006 02:39 AM

I never had the patience to solve that shit

alec 03-13-2006 02:52 AM

I've played that stuff several times. I even got into a fight with my older brother because of that.

Bob_cougar 03-13-2006 03:48 AM

i tried and was successful, at that. but it happened only once. plus it took me a couple of weeks to solve that cube.

Sarah_Jayne 03-13-2006 04:00 AM

I still think those of us that took the sitckers off and rearanged there were the ones that showed our problem solving skills.

Of course my mom never bought the real one. Mine had fruit on it instead.

Teodora 03-13-2006 04:17 AM

nexcom28 03-14-2006 05:00 AM

I was a total Cube Geek in school. The school sponsored this content to see who could solve it the fastest. They had like 6 different prizes and they were thinking it would take people dyas or weeks to solve it.

They announced the contest at 10:05 and at 10:15 I had won. It took me a while to convince them that I could do it in minutes instead of days.

My fastest time was 1:21.

Total geek...

Quagmire 03-14-2006 08:36 AM

So when can we see bigwheels and greenmachines making a comeback?

Lawn darts, anyone?
