lilith_godess 03-09-2006 04:40 AM

and what is so scary about it ?!? congratulations dadds!:thumbsup

KRL 03-09-2006 04:42 AM

Having a child is the most enriching and rewarding experience in life.

I've yet to experience anything quite like watching a little head pop out of a woman and hearing that first scream of life. You feel like God in that moment.

1. The fact that I'm only going with my g/f for 12 months
2. I never really wanted to be a dad any time soon
3. She's 10 years younger (24) than I am (34) and she just went back to school
4. Although I am doing great with my ventures, it still is an insecure way of life, being self employed and all

That's just a start, a million things go through my head right now. We only found out about it two days ago, could be 6 weeks pregnant, could be 3 months, we're not sure untill next week. She had an irregular cyclus for a while, so we didn't expect anything suspicious :/

Naughty 03-09-2006 04:46 AM

Thanks KRL, sounds promising.

I always have fun with my 6y/o nephew and 1 year old niece, but always just a little happier on my way back home, lol.

lilith_godess 03-09-2006 04:48 AM

hmmm..be positive...i know it's a little bit hard for you but you'll see everything will be just fine!

2HousePlague 03-09-2006 04:49 AM

me too, but not right now, i only am 22 years old...i have a whole life in front of me...

Wordsforhire 03-09-2006 04:57 AM

I was scared of telling my hubby about me being pregnant. I was told I couldnt have kids cause of ovary problems so we never thought anything of it. 3 months later there I was, 6 weeks preggers!

He was over the moon. He was 24 at the time. He was the last person his family ever would have though to have kids..Hes just a big kid himself. I was only 17 at the time aswell...Can you imagine what I was thinking.

Its all worth it in the end mind you, at least you dont have nine months of fat days, bloatedness, sleepless nights before they are even supposed to start, fat feet, high blood pressure...og and the 15 days of labour...Yup im a special one.

Just go with the flow. Its the most wonderful thing in the world to look down on your own baby and just see his or her face. I never stop telling mine I love her, their precious little buggers!congrats!

Naughty 03-09-2006 05:00 AM

Thanks for the kind words, I know this place is crawling with young parents, the past 5 years I have seen a shitload of threads announcing new parenthoods.

chadglni 03-09-2006 05:22 AM

Kids rock. Enjoy him/her. :)

RichIt Strike 03-09-2006 05:24 AM

how can you be so sarcastic? i bet you don't have children

chazer 03-09-2006 05:50 AM

it's actually quite funny. i didn't want to become a father anytime soon... in fact I wasn't sure if I ever wanted kids but shortly after my gf become pregnant I decided that there was nothing else in this world that I wanted more than to have a child of my own.

You know, I have a feeling this might turn out that way for me too. I'm scared, excited, happy, enthusiastic, sad and much more: all at once.

I'm sure it will get better in the next few weeks.

Beejeebers 03-09-2006 06:04 AM

1. They don't say Daddy until at least 1 year old. :)
2. Having kids is the best thing that can happen in anyones life. I've got two and I want more. Your whole life changes for the better. It is the greatest experience of your life bar none.
3. Whether you want one or not, do not desert them ever.

cool1 03-09-2006 06:06 AM

So true, my wife and I just had our first four months ago and its been an incredible experience so far. Even though our daughter was planned and we were very prepared, I still had some of the concerns and insecurities any new father has. Just give your child everything you have and you'll be rewarded.

Tricksy 03-09-2006 09:02 AM

it's too early to have kids for me thanks to my age... it's pretty hard to decide to take the responsibility for a long period of time, may be the rest of your life...
but at least you won't be lonely in your "60 years old", may be you can take the risk ;)

HeavyTrafficGuy 03-09-2006 09:04 AM

yeah it sucks

dam dude i really hope you werent trapped into this, by your post it sounds like you are a little hesitant with the entire thing.

some girls are sluts and will put you in bad situations, i hope it never happens to me, and i do not wish the same on anyone else.

CherryLipsRosa 03-09-2006 09:47 AM

Naughty, it is rare for you to find the right time so embrace it and see how your life will change for the better. Kids are a blessing and remember you are their role model so how you raise them is most probably how they will grow up.

corvette 03-09-2006 09:49 AM

congrats!!!!!

id be scared too, but i heard its a great experience from some that went through it

thanks for sharing :)
