Here's why I'm glad I don't live in AZ anymore!
Anyone else tired of all the AZ webmasters whining about how great AZ is?
It's over 100 degrees today, tomorrow, and pretty much every day until October. That's 5+ fucking blazing hot months a year. Fuck that! Norcal rules. Think I'll drive the convertable to work tomorrow, play golf in 80 degree weather on Friday, then I'll drive 1.5 hours and go skiing in Tahoe CA on Sat. Thinking of going tasting in Napa Valley on Sunday. |
Nice , Ill be masturbating all weekend
|
Tasting in Napa Valley, I miss that.
I used to do that:( |
i love it here- but i need a winter home for jan feb march april
|
I went to AZ for the first time last year and it was so fucking hot there I could hardly breath. I don't see how people can stand that shit.
|
I only like to visit Arizona. I wouldn't want to live there.
|
winter is coming up in australia... ^_^

Thanks for reminding me. I'm moving to AZ from San Diego next month and it will be quite an adjustment after the living the last 20 yrs in So Cal. Decided that I could move close to family and build the house I wanted in AZ for 600k or pay 1.5 mil for an older one in San Diego. I can deal with the dry AZ heat though much more than the humid summer weather of some places. I'm just worried about being able to sell my wife on the "don't worry its a dry heat" mentality.
|
I didnt mind the summers that much. It was the only time I could use the pool. I hated the winters & how it was so dry & my skin itched all the time. I'll never go back.

Sorry Lens, but Sac isn't much better IMHO. I know I used to dread having to go up there to move her in (Sept) or move her out (June) when she went to school up there.
Then the spring and winter were both pretty damn wet as I recall. Autumn would be a little chilly for my tastes. And I seem to remember that is was the first time that my daughter ever needed a "winter" wardrobe. But I would not live in AZ either . . . but I do have a great time whenever I go there. Thank you Martina, Warren, Niko, Vanilla, Stewie, Steve . . . and everyone else that makes that happen. |
this weekend its suppose to be 108
wait untill its 114, then you will wish it was only 100 :) Quote:

Phoenix is not really a "dy heat", less so then vegas... when I moved here from vegas last july it felt as tho I was in florida.
july and august is pretty humid here and with 105+ heat. Quote:

Nah, AZ is dry as compared to say TX. And to me, anything over 100 just feels like hell's fire. I doubt I could tell the difference between 101 and 114. |
you just brought a tear to my eye. homesick :( But living in Barcelona on the med is not so bad either :pimp
|
terrible couldnt stand 100 for a minute, Im cool with 85 in the Med when its near the seashore having a cocktail but other then that no way, guess Im used to the dutch weather

Well AZ has scorpions and as soon as I heard it was the black widow spider capital of the US I knew I would never step foot in that state.

Not one of you has the right to complain. You want to live in the U.K Its either raining, snowing, to cold and if we have one day of heat everyone gets sunburn and we run out of water. Fucking rains for 364 days of the year. We are sorounded by sea and every year we run out of water :xmas-smil
|
Have fun Lensman
|
Damn... that's the life. :)
|
57 degrees here at the moment.
|
Arizona is the best place to find an old car.
Other than that, it's way 2 hot 4 me. |
I am so not used to heat anymore...at the forum I got burnt during one 30 minute lunch and it has only just stopped peeling a week ago
|
Mild-warm weather is ideal. Too hot and too cold sucks. I think I prefer too cold over too hot because all you have to do is dress warmer. When it's hot there is no escape except to be somewhere with air conditioning.
|
I would shrivel up like a raisin down there...too damn hot
