For The Troops [VIDEO]
We miss you son, come home soon! :(
http://www.clermontyellow.accountsup.../UntilThen.swf XOXOXO *Krystal* |
Sorry, i am european, i get really really sick from those glorifications.
We had enough of that in the last century. If you glorify, you are playing in the hands of those who send them there and of those who keep them there. If you want them home now and not in 4 years, get on the streets and drop your president. Ask yourself a question, would they be there when there was no oil in the region? If your answer is yes, why arenīt they e.g in Africa or in any other 'not so valueable country' where shit happens? I know, i should not post this, because it sounds harsh. I feel sorry for everyone who has to be down there. They should be home, now. |

Maybe you can recruit some more of your younger family members with that video, it sure makes joining the army seem so great. :winkwink: |
Very touching, I had my son watch it and he looked like he was going to cry.

Memories... hang in there, before you imagine they are back with you. Give them as much support as you can, cause they've gone thru a hard time. Don't expect them to be the same character as before they left though, all I can give you as advice. Salut |
Hey thanks for all your support! I mean I spent the last year in IRAQ, just got back.. lost a couple friends and it's great to see "I wonder how many innocent people those soldiers in the pictures killed"
Whether or not you like the President or his decision to goto war, There are many brave men and women who stepped up and joined the military when many like yourself didn't....Nobody wants war, and nobody likes war, but when you join to Serve your country and then you get sent overseas even though now it's nor for your country but its for another country you still do what you are told and you stand ready to answer that call.... I don't agree with the war but I do what I gotta do. I don't even think you can even begin to comment on things over there until you've been there and seen it all first hand. You shouldn't make your opinions based on what you see on TV or in the media, because BELIEVE ME from being there first hand, half of the BS you seen on TV is heavily blown up to look all dramatic or incorrect. Until you have a bunch of innocent iraqi's coming up to you, thanking you and offering you into their homes not wanting you to leave them because of fear that insurgents who might harm them, then I don't think you'll ever get the whole picture. Iraqi children especially girls are now allowed to attend school in majority of the areas, children are receiving vacinations and shots to keep them healthy, freedom to have satellite and internet... things you guys don't think twice about until you don't have them. For all those who bitch and complain about this country or simple things, try going to IRAQ for a year like all these soldiers and giving up EVERYTHING for a year. As small as sleeping on a comfortable bed or in a tent for a year. How about little things as wearing comfortable clothes... I mean i was soo appreciative of the little things in life as to getting a decent meal for once when I got home, or even having your own bathroom and shower... or how about porcelain toliets. But to those few that have supported the soldiers and not the war, Thank you. And those of you that have family members out there, just keep praying thats all we can do. All this thread is gonna do is cause flames, i was very tempted just to ignore it, but you can only ignore it so much. |

See it from their side, its quite easy to sit behind a Computer in a safe environment and bash Soldiers that do their job, living on the edge almost every day, than vise-versa... 99% of those talking big words never been in a war first-hand, so how could they judge. Only based on the 10% the media 'feeds' them. :) |

Don't sweat these cocksuckers. They scream and yell about right and wrong, but never consider the soldiers. It's easy to say we're all killers - it's hard to understand that we're just like they are except for one thing; we give a shit and we actually put our asses on the line for what we believe. You're right. If someone hasn't been there they should shut the hell up. They'll never understand. Again, welcome home. |
I made a video for the troops as well that totally glorifies war :)

thank you for your support, it's things like this that people just don't understand...
it's not about yourself, its about those around you and everything but about yourself. Any man willing to make a sacrafice and take the chance of death is a hero. Many seem to call myself a hero, but I beg to differ, i'm still alive and breathing. Those that have given up their lives are the real heros.I am far from a hero and I'll be damned If I sell them short and not give them the credit they deserve. I get all teary eyed as it is just thinking about my few close buddies that I lost over there. And for someone like some here to take away everything they died for. http://www.fdnylodd.com/BloodofHeroes.html and http://home.insightbb.com/~armedforcestribute/ |
picture of the guy reading the "band of brothers" book, thats just classic, nice :thumbsup

some good photos in there

1) If you were peace loving then why did you ignore the United Nations when they stated that their were no weapons of mass destruction? 2) How does Iraq threaten the US? 3) Your video on this page http://www.fdnylodd.com/BloodofHeroes.html shows 9-11 - what does 9-11 have to do with the Iraq war? |

Or Kids and "innocent" civillians that have guns in their hands and shooting at you because they are told to, and then you look into their eyes for a split second and make the ultimate choice of A) let them shoot you or B) shoot them. I'd like to see you make those kind of decisions and live with yourself the rest of your life... Of infact why stop a kids? It's different to watch someone on TV and hear about someone shooting them than doing it yourself.... Just looking into an Adult's eyes as you have to make that decision... Shooting their dogs, humiliating them in jail? Oh your talking about the ones that are guilty of beheading civillians, killing children and other such crimes? Those ones we are humiliating? Ahhh ok, heaven forbid they be humiliated for what they did. They are only murders and rape children. Ahh gotcha, we'll be sure to give them a Fair Trial and the whole 9 yards, cause I mean they do the same with our soldiers and civillians right it's only fair... Like it's been said before people base their opinion off of the media... when the media itself doesn't report things accurately. |

Not my site, just a site that was emailed to me in the past.... 1) You blame everybody because of what the government decided but i'll support only because it's my job 2 & 3 - Not my page like I said, but this seems to be linked to the whole War on Terrorism after 9/11... Afghanistan and now IRAQ... IRAQ was a big country harboring terrorists.... Anyways i'm out for the night, have a great night |

Ray - I was a Navy Hull Tech for 11 years - firefighter and damage control. Did three years in special boat units and spent about 18 months in Iraq - '90 - '91. You guys are finishing what we weren't allowed to. Of course, they stopped to avoid the hard stuff that you guys are handling now, and are handling in a VERY good, competent manner. You people have done, and are doing, an outstanding job, and we all owe you our thanks, regardless of the political attitudes. I always wonder how things would have been had we rolled into Bahgdad and finished the job. I now believe nothing would be a bit different. Regardless of the world's direct involvement, the same people would be bringing up the same lame arguements. See, I think some people don't want to even try to understand reality. They like sound bites and quick video clips, and they believe them. They always have and they always will. These are the people who say things like "Gosh.. all that everyone in the world really wants is peace and the chance to live a happy life". They'll never understand that some people are just fucking evil, and no matter how much aid you give them, they'll always have their own agendas. I'm glad that decisions are not left up to them. So to them I say good luck. To you, again, I say thank you and welcome home. |
