Yeh I've seen his shows, what a poor choice for a oscar host though, couldnt believe it when I read that he was doing them. He obviously has issues, I just think it's poor taste, poor blacks, pick on the white folks, thats what his routines are about, maybe he picks on other races on his own shows, doesnt look like that on the oscars so far though.

i watched the opening of the show and the major skit was him interviewing people at the movies
and it was making fun of blacks showing they have No class and only see the " black people movies " and none of the movies that where nominated for an award

I'e watched and followed Rock's career and comedy for years, and he's always done more a less the same topics. He follows the same monikor in his movies as well. He is good at jokes about hating, or better, making fun of white people. But he makes fun of blacks as well. Be that as it may, realistically when you cut through the fluff, he's a political comic. It comes down to pointing out blakcs living in a white America, etc. etc.

Is his routine dead on? Nope. Is he a funny motherfucka? Yep. But just like Bernie Mac's routine, "it's not about black and white. It's about jokes", and if something some comedian says has that big an impact on your daily or day-to-day life, I have two words for you..

I saw this show of a few hours with different black comedians who are famous in the US (dont know any of their names anymore) and it was CONSTANTLY white-black jokes, maybe 1 out of 100 jokes was not a racial joke..... im not talking theyre racists cuz they make fun of white AND black people, its just a fucking drag to watch such boring bad uncreative jokes.... and i do can have an opinion right? tho it is a fact.

I agree, Chris is my fave comedian, I have seen him live and also have followed his career. With Chris Rock, you either hate him or love him, and I can understand and see why some would consider his racial jokes offensive, but at the end of the day they are just jokes. Nothing serious! Besides Chris, majority of all comedians make racial jokes. It is just to make you laugh, nothing else. Don't take it personal.
