Nasty Dollars scamming webmasters?
has anyone had this experience with Nasty Dollars (besides me):
i signed up for nasty dollars back in 2003 and i threw up the links to their 2 ethnic sites in my directory & didn't give it a second thought. since my directory links don't get LOTS of traffic i wasn't expecting big checks from them... $60 here, maybe $120 there cuz i didn't make them a main sponsor. i do this with ALL the programs that have ethnic and interracial sites. normally its not a problem, the traffic is considered hi quality because i may send 1:50 or better because the smaller amount of traffic sent. so a few months after i first signup, i got to check stats and the u/p don't work. that's strange... i didn't change the pass since signup... so i emailed the dude. i get this email back: ... Your password is not working because your account has been flagged for potential fraud by our fraud department. We have sent you a notification via email. If you would like us to re-evaluate your account, please provide us with as much information regarding your traffic. Where is your traffic coming from? How are you promoting? The more information the better, so we can properly investigate your account. Mo :) Nasty Dollars Support Team We're here to help! Ph: 305.373.2266 Fax: 305.373.2284 *Important* Please include all previous correspondence in your replies ... first & foremost, u didn't send me an email notification. next, what kind of fraud could i be doing by sending small amounts of traffic that converts to your sites? so i don't get an answer by email after this correspondence so i CALL. i talk to this dude there & he says, "oh, u sent us signups that got refunds or cancelled." WTF? my job isn't to hold hands with a surfer once i send him to your site. i just send people who signup, YOU PAY. i tell'em: "look, this is Q'on from OnProbation.com, the owner & i've been in this business sending quality traffic & signups to every program i've dealt with... i have over 2000 links in my directory & that includes more than several hundred sponsors that pay me WELL for traffic. WHY the fuck would i defraud you of a few fuckin signups???" my reputation in that regard is well known from all my sponsors. dude says, "we won't reactivate this account or pay you on any of the signups" & basicall hangs up in my face. now, is this something that happened to only ME or is this the NEW form of shaving? oh, and yes, i signed up again... & i'm SURE i sent you some signup over the past month now i want you to POST some sort proof that the signups i sent BEFORE we fraudulent (what does "fraudulent" mean in your book? how did i send you "fradulent" signups? wtf is that?). now, post the current stats & show some REASON u won't pay me on that (note: we try to keep a comprehensive directory so i link all ethnic & ir websites so since my editors will have these sites listed ANYWAY, i'd like to get fuckin paid). ... |
You are barking up the wrong tree going after Nasty. They are the #1 paysite affiliate program in our industry. The last thing they do is scam people.
Don't expect a reply here. They don't post on gfy. They don't have to. |

wtf does THAT mean? if someone scams u, shut the fuck up if they are BIGTIME? fuck you. they SCAMMED ME. i didnt send ANY FRAUDULENT SIGNUPS & THEY WON'T PAY ME. thats a scam, i don't give a fuck WHAT program it is. if i did something wrong, PROVE IT. don't just say, oh, this is this, that is that, fuck you small fry. .. |
|
sorry to hear about your sponsor woes
most places will term you if your chargeback ratio is high or your ratio sucks balls i have learned |
I agree, they're one of the biggest sponsor programs, they're actually one of my first programs i've signed up. Normally whenever I called and talked to Mo, they've always taken real good care of me. You must of really pissed them off for them to hang up on you. I mean I use to complain about my checks they're return address misprinted, I've know them for about 2 years, they have never mistreated me.
This is not uncommon in this business, this is PORN, if they don't pay you, move on dude, a couple bucks you're missing and spending all this time complaining, you could of made way more submitting to TGPs/LLs. |
i've NEVER had a sponsor do this.... NEVER. simply because i DO send honest traffic. i've had flat rate sponsors for over 2 years & i KNOW the quality of my traffic so its only fair that somehow someone SHOW me or fuckin PAY ME. i know the small webmaster is getting squeezed out... i'm sure we can all see that, but come on now.. this is ridiculous.

ultimately, i'm sure i won't get paid cuz u r right... this is porn. BUT it should be known that honest webmasters can get fucked too. hey, i'm not a BIG traffic webmaster. i don't have the "no shave, always pay" deal like Shap or other MAJOR traffic guys. steppin on a little guy no problem these days i see. i didn't do anything to piss anyone off other than demand to know what "fraud" is & how DOES anyone do it??? .. |
Ok heres the deal , your not going to get anywhere beefing on gfy about nastydollars , way too many satisfied webmasters..
EVERY responsible sponsor looks at the first check they send out and make sure its all legit, if they looked and every signup was a chargeback they have every reason to be suspicious as this is a flag for webmaster fraud.. Let me also say i totally understand your position , i had a sponsor do the exact same thing to me.. I signed up got 2 signups they turned off the account and no matter how much bitching i did , they didnt care, so i didnt lose any more breathe over it and gave my signups to a sponsor who listened.. In the end the sponsor loses out , but they are looking out for everyones best interest , just not listening to you close enough.. There should be some sort of arbitration for these sorts of things. |
sorry to hear about your experience and frustartion....hope you resolve it soon...

i appreciate the words, advice, etc... i guess when i have a program i will do the same thing? part of the game right? i guess i'm an idealist & think people should b treated right. also, i'm not afraid to speak my mind... no one should when they know they are RIGHT and have been wronged.

I can vouch for Qon. I have been buying traffic on his site for a few yrs now and all i can say is his traffic is golden. I've never once had a problem with refunds or chargebacks.

lol... come on now... this is GFY... if u post some subject like "could i get some help with my account?", no1 reads & u lose the ability to find those who have suffered the same plight. i know i'm not the ONLY this happened to (with THEM), i just think it should b addressed. the reason y a lot of cats dont respect this industry is the level of accepted dishonesty. not cool imo :2 cents: |

THANK U. i knew my people would come thru... u r the man (the new tours r BANGIN btw... i know that EM joint is sellin like snow cones in hell ;)) .. |
This kind of thing happens from time to time to honest webmasters. It's frustrating to have someone accuse you of cheating when you aren't but the only thing you can really do is pull the links and move on.
|
Wow, I can't believe how many people think Q'on is just some new guy who sends a couple of joins here and there. He runs a site called www.OnProbation.com that is probably the number 1 ethnic free site on the web. If it's not the number 1 in traffic it's just due to his non agressive trading. It is definitely the most well known among surfers.
I kinda figured the Nasty guys were buying traffic from him already for their Round and Brown and Mike In Brazil. That should work well on his site. Wait a minute, 1:50, I think it did work well. The CB's must have been a fluke. |

I could think of several better titles that fit your situation better.. NASTYDOLLARS shows me no respect. WTF nastydollars !!!! Nastydollars can we be friends.. ATTENTION nastydollars affiliates Has anyone heard of nastydollars ? those titles would have gotten the same reaction , but would be politically correct :) :winkwink: |

those r pretty good... i've always sucked @ my "gfy thread titling".... next time i have some issues, i'll hit ya up & get ya 2 help me w/a title before posting. :winkwink: |
Don't take my comment personal. Leave my username alone Smokey. ;)

I would think that NastyDollars would have to be one of the main targets for fraudulent webmasters and, as one of their affiliates, I am glad they are vigilant against scamming webmasters.
Unfortunately some innocent webmasters get flagged but that is the price we all pay to keep the scammers out of business. GuerillaTraffic downgraded me because they weren't converting my trials.I spat the dummy of course, :winkwink: but then I just moved my traffic elsewhere. NastyD are far too big and busy to be bothered scamming webmasters. They pay topdollar for trials and have the biggest payout for nopopups. They do not need to spam webmasterboards and their sites are so popular it could be argued they do not even need affiliates. They hardly need to contrive to rob an affiliate of a few sales. :2 cents: |

Generally, when a sponsor has chargebacks, they terminate your account but pay you for the remaining amount.
Nasty Dollars (in such cases) scams webmasters and not pay them at all for the remaining amount, it can happen to anyone. They do have this nasty habit. :warning |
opflix, are you the guy that had a Verotel account suspended because of a chargeback also?
(If your affiliate account balance ever goes negative they immediately suspend your account, and require you to pay them the difference before they will resume processing... regardless of your previous history...) |

I'm pretty sure you will work it out real soon.
Nasty didn't get were they are by scamming people. gl |
Nasty Dollars?that cant be true.
|
well I for one know that Q'on is HUGE in the ethnic community.
But Q'on, this happens a lot. The bottom line is when you're running a program as big as Nasty Dollars, you just have to follow your guidelines. and hope the damage is as minimal as possible. The only thing you can really do is try and establish a relationship with your affiliate managers. Like when you sign up for a program, instead of ignoring the welcome email and throwing up your links, try sending them an email about who you are, how long your site has been up, etc. That way when you contact them if theres a problem, you're not a complete stranger. I've seen this happen to a couple honest webmasters and the best advice is dont beat yourself up over it, nothing in this thread is going to change their mind. Just move on and learn from what happened. :) |
