New Hurricane heading the same path to Florida (PIX)
this is not good, eventhough its still to early to predict, such hurricane usually take the same path

I'll pass on this one thank you
|
Great picture.

The first one is Frances. You have to scroll to the right and down to see Ivan right behind it.
The storm projection models are indicating that Ivan may well take the same course that Frances did. If I lived in Florida, I'd be moving the fuck OUT. |
Fuck, good luck to everyone!

The latest information that I have on hurricane Ivan indicates a more northeasterly turn, which will bring it to bear on the Miami/Dade county area. I can only hope that this information is incorrect and the hurricane will take a different track. Official Advisory: AT 11 AM AST...1500Z...THE CENTER OF HURRICANE IVAN WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 11.2 NORTH...LONGITUDE 53.4 WEST OR ABOUT 435 MILES... 700 KM...EAST-SOUTHEAST OF BARBADOS. IVAN IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NEAR 22 MPH ...35 KM/HR...AND A WESTWARD TO WEST-NORTHWESTWARD MOTION IS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS. ON THIS TRACK THE CENTER OF THE HURRICANE WILL BE APPROACHING THE ISLANDS IN THE WARNING AREA TOMORROW MORNING. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 125 MPH...205 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. SOME INCREASE IN STRENGTH IS POSSIBLE DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS. HURRICANE FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 35 MILES... 55 KM... FROM THE CENTER...AND TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 140 MILES...220 KM. Three-day model: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ftp/graphics...h/AL0904W+GIF/ Five day model: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ftp/graphics.../AL0904W5+GIF/ But as can be seen here, things are still up in the air about the final approach of Ivan. There are models that say it may become a Gulf storm, and yet others that say it may become an oceanic storm. http://maps.wunderground.com/data/im...0409_model.gif We can only watch, wait, and hope. I'll drop whatever new information I can get as soon as I can get it. |

It's a wonder to me that there's much of anything left standing in Florida considering the page full of tornado warnings I have in front of me. Jesus. I may be a weather junkie/storm spotter, but there would be no way in hell my ass would be coming out of my basement! :helpme

Hopefully Ivan will clash with a strong front and fall apart. If not, time to go back to Home Depot. man that sucks. |
