That is an awesome storm. You have to respect Mother Nature :)
I grew up in Jacksonville and live in a few years in Savannah - they are saying both places have higher than normal amounts of storm surge damage when storms come through (NOLA was another high surge place but the Outer Banks was not, which is strange to me.............). With the sudden change of direction with Charley, at least most are more aware of being ANYWHERE in the path now. Hope everyone stays safe!!! |

Looks like I'm sleeping in the camaro with AC and Radio or in the van with local TV and AC... I'm not sleeping inside without ac in florida when the power goes out again. I wanna live.

it's going to do a lots of damages, hope that nobody is going to be hurt:( |
Oh my huge fucker
|
That storm looks scary
|
Peaches -- NOLA's 18 feet below sea level downtown, which is the main reason for their storm surges -- I've also heard it said since I lived there that if there was a direct hit a certain way - I want to say coming across Ponchartrain -- that there would be no way to pump out the water before everything was totally ruined. But since that hasn't happened, some sort of shift in the Gulf Stream makes it highly unlikely, I guess we'll never know ;)

Fuck me.
Not quite as huge as my cock, but still impressive. :eek2 |
Man..
This morning, my gf's bestfriend who moved to Turks and Caicos islands called her to tell her that hurricane was heading in her direction and would probably devastate everything ... she also sais that they didn't have any underground place to hide...and that she would possibly die. That's fucked up. |

dear god, what did florida ever do to you?

I can see my house!
Generator - Check Water - Check Flashlight/batteries - Check Cats - Check Computers - Check Time to haul ass inland and duck for cover. This looks like Andrew all over again. Good news is I'm celebrating because this is the 20th hurricane to hit FL in my life - And I've been here for them all! Grab the glowsticks, tap the keg - it's Hurricane Party time! |
The way that looks and the projected track that I just recieved from NOAA tells me that Tennessee may well be inland, but we're going to get some of that as it passes through. :eek2
It looks like it's going to go through Florida into Georgia and Alabama, eastern Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee (middle and eastern) and southwestern North Carolina. I remember a hurricane that did that. It hit Florida as a Cat.5 and just plowed through and hit eastern Tennessee as a Cat.1 Just when you thought it was safe to live inland...:glugglug http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ftp/graphics...F/311513W5.gif |
holy shit :helpme
