Costa Rica is at the top of my list. Yours?

My hometown...Vancouver

I've been to Vancouver and Richards street and the pier clubs there. Good choice. Very clean area, friendly people, etc. Kinda like SF without the bullshit and hassle. :thumbsup

I live in Bumfuck, KY in the middle of a cow pasture now. Wanna retire to Holland. Babes, beaches and budz Oh, with a vacation cabin in the mountains of Colorado :thumbsup

Great place to scooter around in. Plus, almost every block either has a Roman or Renaissance monument. Really historic place!

Caribbean no doubt. Ihave already made plans to retire there BTW. for people who don't know, you can live down there for free, just got to know how

Costa Rica's a good choice. I'd go for that or Rio de Janeiro... although I'd like to broaden my horizons before I settle down.

I do know that in Costa Rica, all you need is $1K monthly income (retirement or investment proceeds) and you live like a king plus AWESOME natural coastlines and clean environment

I haven't narrowed it down yet. So many nice places. I don't really plan to retire anyway, just travel constantly.

Maybe Julian, California (Its near San Diego) and maybe a nice big summer home in La Jolla, CA. I love this area and could never see myself moving from California.

LOL i know... I have friends there who want to live anywhere but there. They say the shitty attitude of their countrymen make them sick. While its true that I did meet some who had the shittiest attitudes, for the most part the Dutch were very kind to me. AND I only saw one ugly woman the whole three weeks I was there. Unfortunately she was on the beach....... in a bathing suit. And she was fatter than me :helpme :helpme

well you have to work a little, but yes next to nothing you can live there .

The islands are way too expensive to retire to. Some of the south american countries are much better.

La Jolla is a very nice place. Clean. Great weather.

I just wish there's a place that has ALL of the following:

Summer weather all year round (not searing hot but 70 to 80 all year round--no BS tropical storms either)

No corporate and income taxes

Strict banking secrecy laws

Offshore banking facilities--ie., ATM accessible offshore cash

Great environmental protection

HUGE Internet data pipe/fiber connection

Live and Let live (ie., no hardcore fundamentalism) attitude.
