Its in the hands of the master now.

Noting this thread, the remake I'd really like to see isn't much of a remake; I wouldn't dare fuck with this classic, but I'd like to see the shark scenes in "Jaws" redone digitally & tastefully.

Its an all-timer I know, but I think it would be a great idea and make a ton of cash.

:2 cents:

Citizan Kane and nobody should remake Jaws!!! :feels-hot :feels-hot

Not a remake per se, just using a digital shark, and tastefully done; the shark looks way too phony in parts and it tarnishes an other-wise brilliant movie, one of the best IMO.

I mean, really, how could anyone other than Robert Shaw be Quint?

loverboy 03-05-2004 12:20 PM

Superman Series

That's just stupid, like the digital shaks in Deep Blue Sea were convincing.

Not a Hollywood classic by any means, but a remake of American Psycho would be nice. The book is awesome, the movie sucked ass...

New Wave Hookers

:winkwink: :thumbsup

Amber C 03-05-2004 02:19 PM

I would LOVE to see a remake of Clash of the Titans. That movie kicks ass, even if it is 20+ years old. :thumbsup

Magnus 03-05-2004 02:23 PM

I wish they would come up with their own fucking scripts and stories and leave the classics or older good movies as is.

Praguer 03-05-2004 02:28 PM

Fantasy Island in a porn version :thumbsup

The Count of Monte Cristo fan?

SykkBoy 03-05-2004 02:52 PM

While I prefer originals, this thread is about remakes, so I would say:
Rollerball (I'm aware of the recent remake, but have erased all memory of that wretched piece of dogshit from my mind)
Slap Shot
Spiderbaby (with Sid Haig reprising his role as Ralph from the original ;-)) In a way Rob Zombie's House Of 1000 Corpses had a ton of references to this 60's classic and could almost be considered a remake...nevermind, that would be an homage ;-)))

Jamdin 03-05-2004 03:04 PM

None of them would be as good as the original but I would like to see the following movies revisited:

1) I Am Legend - made twice as The Last Man On Earth with Vincent Price & The Omega Man with Charlton Heston

2) Race With The Devil

3) Rosemary's Baby 0 I liked the sequel, Whatever Happened To Rosemary's Baby, but there could be more movies done (if The Exorcist and The Omen could have them why not this one)

4) Dark Shadows - two movies were made, House of Dark Shadows and Night of Dark Shadows. A third one was planned but never made. With the new Dark Shadows series coming from the WB (hopefully this fall), maybe another movie will be made.

6) Hawk The Slayer

7) Dungeons & Dragons done right - one is supposedly in the works but I hope they took notes from Lord of the Rings

8) Superman series - a new Batman movie has already started production so maybe the Man of Steel will get a reboot soon

Rictor 03-05-2004 03:07 PM

Fuck remakes. Great movies don't need an update.

doornx 03-05-2004 03:14 PM

Evil Dead 2..with more $$$ and gore then ever before :thumbsup

Marina 03-05-2004 03:17 PM

Classics are just that, classics but I would love to see The Thing redone with todays technology!
