Our house just shook like a truck hit it
 

Don't know what happened. Thought a tree fell or a drunk hit us or something. I ran outside and looked around, didn't see anything. Heard alarms going off everywhere. And then firetrucks were on their way somewhere. Who knows what happened, geebus, my heart damn near popped out of my chest.

Some gas plant probably exploded or something.

Wasn't a quake. More like an explosion. One big boom.

I saw flashing lights, didn't quite see what was on the side of the van but probably a gas truck. He went by too fast. Stopped at the corner, sat there for a minute then peeled out. It stinks bad outside, strong fumes.

The news they are showing is from the 11pm broadcast :( And it's 3:12 am.

All of the alarms and stuff that I hear are far away. If we were in danger they would evacuate us really fast. I'm listening to the fire scanner online, they are talking about an accident on the highway, was hoping for my problem :(

No that was a laundry cart...the industrial size!

About a year ago, I was sitting in my office inside my home in east texas. The there was a loud boom and the house shook. I went outside and looked around but didnt see anything.

Then about 20 minutes later a news report broke in, the space shuttle had disentegrated right over east texas.

The noise I heard was the sonic boom from parts of it entering the atmosphere, pretty eery feeling.

Oh man, that was horrible. I can't imagine. Ugh.

Finally! 5am news came on. A house exploded about 1/4 of a mile from here. They aren't sure yet what happened but think it was gas. Had the gas company come over and shut everything off in that area. Sucks to be them, they will all be freezing their asses off over there. Guess there is a nursing home across the street, they moved everyone to the back of the building. The house was leveled but still on fire almost 3 hours later. Geesh! I really hate gas heat, scares the crap outta me!

how many people were in the house? don't think anybody would survive an explosion that shook your hourse 1/4 mile away.

They said something about taking a 55 year old to the hospital and that there might have been a 17 year old in the house still. *shrugs*

A 57-year-old man, who was in the home that exploded, was burned and is listed in serious condition. A second person is listed in good condition.
