I will admit it im scared im very scared not knowing what they are going to do to us over here in the states, what the terriost that are allready here is planning how many of our men and women and the other countries men and women are going to die :( So YEa im scared

No, not really.

Im not in a big city, so im not that concerned over terrorist attacks. Im 2nd highest in senority in my job, so unless the entire hotel shuts down, im secure in that.

Though, I would be more worried in a larger city.

I don't know that I'm worried about direct ramifications from this war effort, but I do know that it's going to have grave economic impact on the world, along with the fear/terror factor that it's going to put into some, making life a wee bit more stressful.

Yes, I am worried.

Not for myself, as my city is not a big target, but I fear for our soldiers and for those in larger cities.

I also fear for Iraqi civilians who are praying to be rid of Saddam and that they arent blown up before they can celebrate his death.

Nothing like a guy with a 12 gauge checking battery tunnel traffic, to make me feel secure. Having trucks get pulled over on every brindge and tunnel to get checked for explosives and thinking, Can they really blame me for speeding here.

No, I'm not afraid. I think I'm pretty safe here in bumfuck, Indiana. Even if the war was being fought in this country I wouldn't be afraid. I'm sure my neighborhood is better armed than most third world nations.

I went through there one time, and was greatly dissapointed.

Three days there, and not one Bum Fucking.

Fuck yeh. Just out walking my dog and a small jet flew overhead really low to the ground and it looked like white smoke coming out of the back of it like crop duster style. Hope it wasn't anything terrorist like. Still breathing and it was probably nothing but exhaust but it flew abnormally low and not in the usual approach pattern to the executive jet airport here in Boca.

I'm 20 miles from Barksdale Airforce Base but no I'm not scared of anything to do with Iraq as far as safety. Only think I worry about is conversions on my sites. :)

I'm worried. I live less than a mile from LAX and there is constant unmarked suburban activity up and down my street all day. That's why I support this war. I hate worrying about whether or not the guy who is obviously of middle eastern descent, standing on the corner, is a good guy or a bad guy.

Concerned yes.

But am I going to let it prevent me from adding some light humor on a few message boards to maybe ease the tension a bit? Not a chance.

Now is the time that humor and foolishness are needed the most, lest everyone go completely insane.

Your instincts are right. This war will be devastating for the world, or at least, the resultant wars that stem from it will be.

It's scary. I hope this can make the world a better place, but bad things will happen along the way. Also, I am an American in a foreign city. We won't let ourselves get sick over this, but yes, it does make us worry.

Me too. I have a two year old son and a daughter on the way. I don't want them growing up in a world where they never know if they are going to get blown up today or not. That is no way to live.

I was listening to NPR (national public radio) and a so called middle east expert posed this to the listeners. There are over 1billion muslims in the world. What would happen if 1% of them became radicalized by the US war on Iraq. There would be 10million more suicide bombers today than there were yesterday. I don't care how macho you are that is plain fucking scary.

Fear the USA and the propaganda... last night I watched a whole show where the RAND corp. tries to scare the crap out of everyone with tales of AIDS and biological warfare, etc. The RAND corp. back in the 70's was already doing computerized war simulations based on data from surveys of local USA residents (my friend was one of the surveyers back then)... That was 30 years ago hehe... THAT is some scary shit... that you are all so predictable... :1orglaugh

I admit I get paranoid when they changed security colors. I even went to the drug store and bought duct tape and canned food and stuff. But I got hungry a few days ago, was too lazy to go to the store again, so I ate all my emergency food supply!
