Colin Hanks is one of the worst actors I've ever seen. None of his dad's talent has rubbed off on him.

The writers are treating the long time fans of Dexter like fucking idiots, explaining everything as they go. It's like they hired all new people to write the scripts. It really sucks ass.

I've mentioned before that his mentioning his 'dark passenger' so often irks me to the extreme, but at least they haven't gone the route of the books and made the 'dark passenger' an actual supernatural entity.

I stopped watching it this season because it was so stupid.

Yes that was probably the worst season. I still think this one is the best since John Lithgow, but they will NEVER be able to top that one.

James as the Bay Harbor Butcher? Yeah, I have to agree.

Lithgow's Trinity Killer... Man his performance was so fucking on for that season. Even him ordering coffee he made extremely creepy. I can't see them topping that unless they get Anthony Hopkins, Daniel Day Lewis, Hugo Weaving, Ralph Fiennes or Gary Oldman. Not only that, but their character would have to have one hell of a backstory and reasoning.

I hated James because he is a terrible actor.

I hate Miguel because he was too pushy.

I actually hate the Trinity season because I hate John Lithgow.

If I had to pick the dumbest season, Miguel.

Be glad he didn't come back as a cyborg like in the books. That actor was probably one of the worst actors in the entire scope of the show.

i only read the first book. one of the few instances where the show was better than the inspired book. i wouldn't even bother reading the others

I really wish Deb would find out about Dexter like she did at the end of the first or second book.

Glad to hear it. Dexter was the only reason I was on the fence about cancelling Showtime when I did. Sounds like it turned out kinda how I feared it would.

There's a difference in quality between Showtime and HBO shows.

HBO stuff is on a different tier. Boardwalk Empire has an artistry and subtlety in the writing that makes it seem like watching a good movie. Shows like Dexter can't even begin to approach it.

I hate him but I am not through that season yet and maybe something will wow me and make me change my mind? It's also my boyfriends least favorite season so I am not alone.

I only just got into the show. He's been watching it for years and I always distracted myself on the Internet when watching. But for some reason I started paying attention, asking questions and am now super into it.

I am up on the current season but only about a third way through the Trinity season. I've also seen everything up to it.

Yeah, in the teasers before the start of this season they hinted that was going to go down (Deb busting Dexter), but doesn't look likely at the moment.

Deb's therapy sessions have been annoying and I don't like where they are taking that. Colin Hanks really is pretty awful. Also having serial killers come after Dexter's family again is a little too much.

I would really like to see something more original. Almost every season seems to revolve around one of two major plot lines - Dexter playing cat and mouse with some mastermind serial killer (Ice Truck / Trinity / Doomsday) or Dexter lets someone into his life only to have them betray his trust ( Lila / Miguel ). I think what I liked best about the season before this one (Lumen) was it was a little more realistic. I mean, alot of crazy shit goes down in Florida that doesn't seem to happen anywhere else, I'd love to see them draw more on that.

I liked the twist they put on Doomsday, but Colin Hanks just can't pull it off w/o looking ridiculous in the process. Just getting bored w/ the show to be honest.

This may not be the best Season of Dexter but its still way better than any of the network (NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX) shit shows out there.

I quite like this season, it's his 'inner-struggle'.. thats the whole point of the season, shit-face hanks is just a side story.

I think they should do 1 more season with debs finding out, that would be the best then leave it there.

I agree. I am a big fan of Dexter and while this season isn't the best, it is still enjoyable to me and better than most other shows on TV.

Hall just signed on for two more seasons. I would love to see them take those two season to wrap it up and finish the story on a high note instead of just dragging it on for a handful more seasons then cancelling it.

For those who might not be watching it, Homeland, the show that comes on after Dexter might be the best show on TV right now.

It's by far the worst season. Boardwalk Empire at least made up for the shitty TV in their finale this year.

The first season and the the season with Trinity was the best for me.
The current one is...yeah...not the best.
At first i thought it would be good but now i can´t say that.
Next sunday is the finale,right?

He's only killed like two people the entire season so far.

I like the original premise that had him tracking down and killing someone each episode.
