Actually, the 26 to the 25 of the following month is your billing cycle. Usually people expect payments when invoices are issued. I didnt demand you pay me right away but if you were going to give me a hard time like you are now then fuck it and i could do without your biz.

It depends on the company, and companies are free to set whatever payment terms they want (payment on reciept, net 10, net 30, 2%10N30, etc), but most places give you X amount of days to pay the invoice.

Terms were not talked about but they're possible. All i wanted to do was was make sure he got the invoice and it was going to be paid (no issues with it).

If he has an issue like he said he did he should have said so when i ICQ'd him the invoice the first time.

Terms were not talked about but they're possible. All i wanted to do was was make sure he got the invoice and it was going to be paid (no issues with it).

If he has an issue like he said he did he should have said so when i ICQ'd him the invoice the first time.

Why would i have an issue with an invoice? I have an issue with you hounding me for payment 24hrs after its recieved.

notjoe, if you are so worried about being screwed, have you ever considered prepayment to you? i realize it wouldn't cover the overages but you could at least bill on prepay for the estimated...

Agreed. Why would you bring this to the boards? He has every right to invoice you and enquire about it especially providing and upfront service.

What does the end of the month have to do with the price of rice in China? if you had signed up on the end of the month then that would be when your billing cycle would end.

If you assumed that you had to the end of the month to pay then you could have just asked if you had to the end of the month to pay. I really couldnt care when you would have paid the invoice as long as you could have atleast confirmed receiving.

As for when the payment is due, it is due upon receipt of the bill and the sooner the better although i have never harrassed anyone unless they owed a couple months worth of service.

Why would i let someone go that far without paying? To be honest i am too nice. I tend to believe that people do fall upon hard times (atleast some of the smaller guys) and that sometimes they do need a break or two and i like to try and help out if i can, because someone has given me a break back then i would have been where i am today but only sooner.


I've even given some of the smaller guys free service for the month because they didnt use much bandwidth because they're just starting.

But yes you are right, i am the worlds biggest asshole and my video feeds are of the worst quality you've ever seen on the internet!

1st of all.. it is not great content.. it loads slow as shit... The content is fine, but the server its on is dead.

Did i have a problem with WHEN the bill was givin to me? no.
Did you contact me 24 hrsa after the invoice was sent and asked me to make sure it got paid? yes.
Is it myfault you dont take wires, or paypal, or checks? no.

Expecting 24 hour turnaround on billing is weird. I'm not sure who brought this to the boards first, but I am even less clear why.

What it all comes down to is that people in this industry don't know how business works. It reminds me of the wild west-- people ignore the old rules and standards, and do it their own, rough way.

can you please point out 1 single company that requires payment to be made the day you get the invoice?

maybe i am missing something here.. but most if not ALL companies have an accounting dept.. that do more than pay attention to one single biller.. they do other things like make 1099's, pay OTHER bills, eat lunch, organize the books, etc etc etc.. Should my accountant be expected to drop everything and read their email and immediately make a check for the bill?

I do believe i even waited for a payment while you got your new credit card and i didnt bother you for a while until a few weeks went by and you had not contacted me yet with information to bill you.
