Do a seaarch for the other fairly recent post involving this. I think the poster qlso said what he did to fix the prob in his registry files.

Don't ya just want to cover them with honey & stake them down to an ant hill...I know I do!

There are only 2 ways I know to get around it...either use Netscape, or set your security in IE to high.

                  juicylinks,

no advice on how to fix it, but some advice on how to prevent it in the future. use norton internet security. it'll detect the registry write and suggest to stop the 'potentially dangerious' script. this closes all your IE browsers, but it's better than getting stung like you did.

auto-bookermarking with NIS makes your browsers crash, so this loses surfers... kinda defeats the purpose.

Hmm. I ran into some autobookmarkers and after deleting the offending bookmarks, IE seem unable to remember passwords. Anyone else had this experience?

Hockey stick? I was thinking baseball bat... Oh well, a hockey stick will do, but I'd prefer my bad self in there to kick their asses too.

Simply don't keep your passwords in IE. I use that autocomplete thingy only for from filling, but there's no way I'll let IE manage the passwords.
Try to surf through some hacking/cracking sites, there are 100's of downloadable programs for someone else's password getting.. IE's just not safe.
