    Newsgroup Spam

i run a small affiliate program and i got an email from @home. they send me a message as to where one of my affiliates has been spamming their newsgroups. he only sent me 200 hits and only made 26 bucks...

needless to say, is this illegal? i was in a bitch of a mood earlier and didnt quiet tell him to go fuck himself. but, i did tell him to left me know when he takes off the copyrighted materials, removes underage models, and all other illegal materials.

im not sure where this post is going. "but, thats all i gotta say about that" in my best forrest gump voice

Might be a newbie that just doesn't grasp spam. The true definition says unrequested email that does NOT have a remove link. Might find out how long he's tried to run a net site etc and cut him some slack.

The boot turns some in to real bad cheats!

    Just a thought

      Hey MrBrian

Are you operating and shipping from Dublin ? Next month I am starting work on a new member mail promotion page that targets by member location. Your affiliate proggy might be a good addition as guys often prefer to purchase shipped material close to their location. We are UK based.

        Well, for starters,

If he was doing it right, he shouldn't get any/many complaints at all.
For only 200 hits, he didn't even get much done. BUT he DID however do some actual work to get you in there, the hits will reccur and then peter to nothing shortly. You should pay him, and make sure if he spams he does it right.
We make 6 to ten sales a day spamming newsgroups on our own, but then, we have a unique product, and we let our affiliates send traffic to newsgroups on occassion, if they know what they are doing. Lot of money to be made from those guys, and if you get complaints, tell your isp that the guy was an affiliate, going against your terms, and move him to a different account number... So he can continue to send you money : )

Yep that poor turnout made me think newbie MichaelK74. And would probably really need that little bit of cash. I hate to see those get stung right off when they didn't do homework enough to really do it. I remember the hubby being up all night in 95 throwing manuals, trying to learn cuz we didn't have any where to turn to ask. He got me thru some college and for that I'll always be grateful!! Not many my age got that chance so late in life.

He would have killed for 26 bucks in one shot instead of the nickels and dimes.
