Try http://www.visto.com HUGE email accounts and they are up at least 90%. Had mail awhile back that they'd be adding servers to remove the slight downtime soon. I use yahoo.com email . I've used it for about 4 years now and it has NEVER let me down and I check my email everday-about 3 or 4 times a day. I highly recomend them. I also have a hotmail.com account . They are down alot, I agree!

9 out of 10 is better than hotmails 6 of 10. lol And with the big email accts who cares? Actually they are busy in the evenings and you just have to back up once in a while. Rare is it that you can't access em. In the past 3 years, I've had AOL, Earthlink, MSN, Earthlink again, and now ATT broadband for ISP's. But I've had one Yahoo address the whole time.

Some ISP's don't let you store your email files on their server, so once you download the message on one computer it is stuck on that computer until you manually transfer it. If you use a free http email service you can download the file at any computer at any time. If you use your ISP's email service and you are away from your main PC, then you will probably have to fart around emailing the attachment back to yourself so you can download it to your main PC, or copying it to a floppy, or whatever.
It doesn't sound like a big deal, but when you get alot of emails and have a variety of computers in different locations, a free http email account can save you some time and frustration trying to keep track of messages.Comment

Also another <u>known</u> problem with hotmail is that they at times steal your mail...meaning you don't recieve it some of the times and even at times, mail you send out never gets to the recipient. I've read countless articles about it.

It's a good program and you can also check your e-mail online (unless you have already downloaded it)

I have used geocities and now it's yahoo so I use yahoo, you can even set it up as a pop3 account, but I mostly use the ones that come with my sites, and hosting companies might come and go but my domain is mine for life so whoever hosts me will operate my pop3 box.

I have a bunch of emails addresses. But the one I use the most and give to close friends is my yahoo email.
Last year when I was in Singapore I was in an internet cafe a found a flier for http://www.atozasia.com/ns/email.shtml which has email accounts with 50mb of space. I have never tried it though.Comment
