I charge .04 cents per word, were applicable.

Totally out of the universe

I am not sure where I came up with my per word price of .04 cents.

My price per word is .01 cents.

Looking back at some of the invoices I still have, I never really got paid by the word exactly; it was more by the size of the work.
When I had to put off sitting here at the computer due to serious illness, the content sales I was working for paid as follows:

Short stories - 300 to 500 words =$5.00
Stories 800 to 1200 word count = $8.00
Up to 2000 word count = $15.00
Pictorials- max 2500 word count $20.00

For the following work, I was paid a flat fee depending on what t was.
Blog post $1 to $1.50
Reviews _ depending on if it was a movie, website, or product varied; I accepted what I was paid.
Story columnist, I had two, approximately 600 to 800 word pieces each week for $10.00

Therefore, I figure I was being paid .01 cents per word.
