Didn't Russia invade Georgia a few years back and nothing ever came of it? I read Russia still has troops there.

Russia has strategic interests in Crimea. Russia will just do what they want while the EU and the USA will just make a lot of noise -- business as usual.

Same as Russia did when the USA invaded Iraq or Afghanistan.

A very-very stupid idea, because:

Russian tourists bring a lot of money to the countries they visit (for example while Spain is just thinking on abolition of visas, many others like Israel, Basil, Hong Kong etc have fully abolished their visa regimes).
Regular Russians can not affect on what Putin does (he doesn't ask if I agree or not on his decisions).

So this will not work

Well one thing is sure,if you go to war,you lose a lot of things,especially when an opponent is matching power.But yes it is just crazy how Russian tourists are better then entire europe tourists,we had a big problem when we entered EU and was forced to put visas on Russia,it immediately caused drop in numbers.
