Tube paysite owners, do you use a tour?

With a custom theme and the 30sec preview you don't really need a "tour"

I did the first real paysite/tube for claudia-marie.com 2 years ago. It's been a monster for making sales and easily outstripped the old "normal" tour.

But what I did was hack up the mechbunny script and make it do my bidding.

I still have a "tour". And the tour is "dynamic" when the members area (which is a tube/social network hybrid) updates...the tour updates with the trailer for the new scene.

I make a dedicated trailer for each scene so that is what's on the "tour" of the site. It has been monstrous ever since we first did it in 2008. At that time we were the only 100% paysite (not a white label) that was a tube.

It's worked beautifully, and with a little hacking and adding features I was able to SEO it real good too.

If you're willing to put in the work to set it up just right and continue to make dedicated trailers for each scene, etc. Then you will be very, very happy with the results.

That's been the way I'm leaning, and I'm wondering if it'll keep chargebacks down if people know exactly what they are getting...

I just use the tube with 30 second samples.

I would go that route if my content was 100% exclusive, but this particular site is only about 20% exclusive exgf content that I have shot. The rest is non exclusive exgf/amateur content I have been buying up and sitting on for a while. I was really hoping to make this site more of an amateur community/social networking type site where I encouraged user uploads but I would police the hell out of them to make sure only real amateur content was being uploaded, and nothing stolen.

I'm sure you remember the various Connections magazines back in the day? That is more the feel I was going for. An exgf/amateur/swingers tube content/social networking site...

Are you happy with the results and the paid memberships?

most people go with a full tube setup, with 30 sec clips and full for unlocked members. I know quite a few people making a killing on this payment model.

Your ideea is great, go for it.
