Stripper Allowed to Return to College Track Team

YES!!! I am so happy for her. My sister knows her. I am sure they are partying tonight!

I was shocked to read about shit like this in Cali of all places.. And a STATE College at that.

I actually seen that story on HBO, they had it on some sports show on there. It was interesting. I'm glad to see that she won her case also.

She danced 2 times a week for $$ for school.. She was suspended off her track team when the Basball team saw her at work and the word got out to her track team coach.. He then kicked her off the team..

Why is it that she was kicked off the team for dancing, but the basball team wasnt punished for going to look at strippers? If stripping is so bad to get her kicked off a team, why is the baseball team not looked down upon for going to these establishments??

Double standard?

Anyhow this is a state college, and stripping is an act protected by 1st Admendment rights, so the school should have known they were wrong all along for enforcing the coach's religious beliefs on the stripper.

He his payed by the government to coach in a public State School, thus there is a seperation between church and state..

The only wrong doing here is that of the coach, a person who has told almost every indvidual on his track team that tey are all going to hell because they werent the same religion as him.. It is indeed illegal for him to use the State College as means to enforce or promote his religion on his students, and that is exactly what he was doing.

Its a shame the Universtiy didnt avoid all this tarnish and contain the coach earlier.. Now the whole country knows of this story.

Actually I just talked to my sister. And rumor has it that he may not be the coach much longer. But you never know.

Good for her. Goes to show what the media can do for us. I was not suprised that this would happen in California. Hell its against the law to smoke in bars over their. Now here in Las Vegas you can do anything.

I went to school with this chick for the last 4 years when the story broke it was huge on campus and the coach got so much heat from the alumni assoc.

But the best part was how the baseball team got away with there part in it, just becuase they pretty much make up the schools athleticfund being that they are always in the top 25 in the nation. This year we were #1 all the way through the college world series then were upset in the semi's

I hate stories like this, but when they have the proper ending and the law backs it, it make you still have some faith in the system.

I saw her dance once, briefly, and she is a babe. I visit the school sometimes, the last time for a JACC event, but unfortunately never saw her "in person." It's nice to see a happy ending to the story, though.
