So whats up with everyone hating flash around here?

I've noticed from past reading much hate towards flash with some of you. I understand from some point because you can make money off a 2 cent html job. But flash really makes your site come to life a nd with the right designer you can have one FAT web site.
I believe the % of people with the flah pluggin is up around 90 these days.

So hit me with your cons on this I'm interested in why you all hate flash so much.

well there is many cons to it. like one good reason a really flashy flash file takes so long to down load on most dial ups so a surfer is gone before it even has a chance to sell a thing.

and being a TGP reviewer I get sick and tired of that blasted pure fuck banner. sure its a attention getter but damn *L*

flash is a good improvment but........fuck ......people just don't know how to use it in a good way.....i hate flash sites coz the people who make them think only about their "artistic creations " and not about the surfers.....

Well I think most of you have experienced bad flash designers. Cause I good designer can make make a flash site load very fast, in most cases just as fast as old html.
Not am I only talking about flash sites but even banners. I wonder how much money affiliate banners bring in for the adult industry. How long have these old html banners been used. I have even heard that banners where dead and text links where taking over. Now thats sad has any paysite attempted to offer a few flash banners to there webmaster?

If a site has a auto loading flash banner or display, I usually close the window, if there is no quick link to get out

If you want to have something special for a surfer to load, and they have the option to see it or bypass it, fine

An example, I have a fast cable connection

I goto an adult related program, partnership, content site or whatever...
all of a sudden a flash banner or intro is forced onto my browser from their main page, my browser hangs for a moment,
I close the window,
I go somewhere else

Flash gives me a woody I like what you can make with such a small file size ,It's just not understood

You'll notice that xwebdesigner doesn't use flash at his site in his sig.
I wonder why?

Why do I hate Flash? Hmmm. Let me see... How about because almost always when a Flash intro starts, I hate it. So, I hate it because I hate it.

Why does flash blow? Glad you asked...

7. The novelty disappeared 2 years ago.
6. I hate regular splash screens, much less 60K flash ones.

First of all, I don't go to a site to see a poorly-rendered bat followed by "LOADING." And as for the feature of dragging and dropping the icons at the bottom into the gaping maw, I wouldn't even have known about that if you hadn't told me.

People hate Flash because it generally is a waste of their time.
