Business When you do and don't regret NOT selling to a genuine buyer

    Don't regret:

    - In the early 2000s I was offered $10k for small but "is unique and has potential" site. I agreed provisionally, but had second thoughts, negotiations went stale, and he ended up withdrawing his offer. Grew the site and have since netted around $500k from it. Site is half dead now but it's still making good $ from lifetime webcam membership sales.

    Do regret:

    - Should have sold a bunch of my TGPs when they were still worth something. Now most of them are slowly dropping off as their yearly income barely clears the domain renewal fee, so I let them expire.

Owned affiliate program with partner 50/50 making good money. Got offered $400,000 for it which was a very low offer at the time. Couple months later we got tied up in legal issues that sunk us. Long story short I ended up selling my shares for a 1/10 of that amount.
