Yes, he was worried about his ability to get gigs in Hollywood. HIV has a huge social stigma far beyond what it actually does.
But if you don't believe what I said about HIV, then you are welcome to use a thing called "Google" and research it yourself.

Actually, if you think about the timeline, Sheen freaking out and going on drug binges (and locking pornstars in closets) probably happened right around the time he found out he was HIV positive. Explains quite a bit.

Yes, he was worried about his rep. Most definitely. Right now if you got cancer you would tell people with no problem. Would you tell ANYONE if you got HIV? Hell no. Neither would I.

Reading that article...down at the very bottom the law is quoted and says that you have to have specific intent to try and infect someone. And whether you knew you were pos or not and told them or didn't tell them is not the issue in that law. You have to have an intent to try and get someone infected.
That's a non-starter from what I just read. Sheen wasn't out purposefully trying to infect other people.
And he never did infect anyone either from everything that we know.
This whole story is just stupid. The porn "world" (as if it really still exists) isn't in a "panic" over Charlie Sheen saying he has HIV.
I'm guessing that the story is designed to TRY and get people scared and in a panic. Makes it easier for Weinstein and the AHF to continue to destroy the porn industry.
Instead of gleefully wading into this bullshit...we should all be putting it in it's proper perspective.

You cannot determine Charlie Sheen's "intent". In fact, it could be argued that since he knew he was HIV positive for four+ years yet continued to both pay off his partners to keep silent AND continued to seek out partners in the same pool (pornstars) his "intent" was to do exactly that (transmit HIV). Thank God he's such a fuck-up.

out of curiosity i looked at the hiv transmission laws in ca when this story broke.
it comes to down to intent. though he obviously did not intend to give anyone hiv he could still be charged.
