As conversions continue to fall TGPs are being forced to sell gallery spots to make the long money. Webmasters buying spots will soon see conversions drop so low that there is little profit after bandwidth+content+listings. But TGPs will continue to sell even more spots and getting listed for free will become next to impossible thus causing webmasters to quit posting.

After spot buyers give up on posting there will be no one posting to the TGPs and they will have to use sponsor hosted galleries.
With everybody and his mom using SPHs with low conversions and high bandwidth, sponsors will be forced to kill these galleries. Surfers will become bored with the available free content and traffic on TGPs will die down to the point where the TGP will basically die from lack of profit.

But no problem. Because then the paysites will make more conversions and a new partnership will emerge where sponsors become "content warehouses" where they give webmasters 100k pics and vids to build paysites and take 50%. We all then will be owners of dozens of paysites and once again become wealthy.

I truly believe what I said above. The market will have to correct itself by natural means and this is already happening.
TGP profits are getting lower and lower.

Dial up users actually like small movies because they don't want to wait for download but also don't care much about paysites with big movies because of the same reason. That doesn't follow with the evolution of business. There will always be a new way do things that will basically kill off the old way. I never thought I would see the end to phono records!

TGP will go the route of topsite list, which were once all over the place. I had to convert my topsites to a TGP modle in order to stay in biz. I will have to change again. It's comming for sure.

There will also be a change in content providers that will kill TGP.

I for one have stopped buying content for posting because it just not as profitable as before. As more webmasters quit buying the content providers will have to start changing their license to "exclusive" so that they can sell for highger prices and maintain value and profits. This will add to the problem with buying pics to post and will kill TGP further.

Maybe YOUR profits are getting lower, but I'm breaking records each and every month over here.

The top spot on the hun is booked 3 months in advance (for $500 a day), and there are several TGP's where you have to get on a waiting list to buy ANY spot on the page.

We have a few employees that submit and they get listed and get joins daily with great ratios.

People have been saying the TGP business is going away for years but yet you can still find tons of people making great money from TGPing.

Change doesn't mean it's going away. The paysite business has changed 1000 times over but they aren't going anywhere.

My TGP profits are getting lower and partly because of lack of quality interracial paysites. But I keep wondering how long are sponsors going to keep letting my TGP drain their bandwidth on hosted galleries. They simply are not converting nearly as good as I thought they would.

As far as the response about knowing how to convert TGP traffic, that is something to tell the sponsors with hosted galleries. I cannot change their galleries.

These hosted galleries are suposed to increase my sales or why the hell would I use them? Why the hell would a sponsor make them?

I can make a gallery for the sponsor or the sponsor can make the gallery for me...it's the same thing.

The decline in sales is the primary reason that VISA and paypal don't give a fuck about us anymore. We no longer own a big chunk of their bottom line. What kind of biz would be stupid enough to all of a sudden demand a $750 fee from it's best clients and possibly drive them away? No one is that stupid.
They demanded it becuase they didn't give a crap if porn masters quit because profits were way down.

TGP's have changed alot over the last 5 years , with increasing jerk offs who can not convert traffic and want to put up pop ups, dialers, and other shit on galleries getting 30k + a day the smart ones have started charging for gallery listings to weed through these bastards . Charging to get listed has nothing to do with conversions droping - shit shoot the hun an email and ask him how his conversions are he'll send you a snap shot. Conversions happen when the webmaster creates a decent gallery with a good description text on it to intice the surfer.

Conversions have nothing to do with the traffic, its all about who you advertise. Think about this you tell someone that he can a pretty leather wallet at wal mart for $5 they might go to wal mart and look at the cheap skin, only to find that its nagahyde and walk away. But you tell that same person that they can buy a nagahyde wallet at wal mart for $5 that will last them longer then the one for $50 because its water proof unlike real leather, and chances are they'll head to wal mart and by the cheap skin.

This is the net people, things change rather quickly. while tgps may have been great, and are still a viable way to make $$, they will not be around forever. face it, you will have to change, or you will be left behind.

The pages I submit to TGP generate around 160-200 sales a month.

When I started in 1999, I heard people say there was too much free porn and the TGPs would be the death of the business.

I've read that same thing a couple times a year for the last 5 years.

Some people get it, some don't.

Getting 200 sales a month means nothing if you used to get 400 salesa month with the same methods because soon you will get 100 sales a month then 50 sales a month then 25 sales a month and then your condo gets reposessed.

I get it, but I don't think many of us that were there will ever make the kind of money we did 5-6 years ago. VISA has a lot to do with that along with a lot of other factors.

I think it's just a given that we have to work harder and smarter as the industry grows and there are more people getting part of the total.

There used to be 15 gas stations in this town 30 years ago. And though are 2-3 times as many cars here now, there are only 5 gas stations and there is never a line at the pumps.

I think that's what we're going to see happen to our business.

When I started in 1999, I heard people say there was too much free porn and the TGPs would be the death of the business. I've read that same thing a couple times a year for the last 5 years.
