Was this a really bad month?

Yes it seemed to be. Click Thru percentages were way down for me. Maybee I was just screwing something up. But It seemed to be not as good as last month or december.

Just wait till summer, and you will really notice. Better buy some canned foods and store em, may be a rough summer.

This month just planed sucked for I had all sort of host problems and just shit happens I even considerd a real job again or maybe doing more main stream customer shit. but then I have to listnen to how they want this to look and that to look until you tell it will take 8 hrs and cost them more,,I just hate the puplic.

It was bad for me too but February is always bad for me. Two reasons: birthday & Valentine's Day. This year was worse because I got a cursed gfy t-shirt. And don't get me started on winter storms.

Traffic to websites were up & traffic to sponsors were okay. As for signups, forget it. It's been so long since I got a signup that I forgot what it looks like.

I went pretty much the end of January and most of this month with dick all in sign-ups. Little three day trials that cancelled two hours later. It really hurt my feelings cause I put alot of effort into making those galleries and submitting them to TGP's. What about me? Don't they care? Don't they see that I can't live of off rebills alone?

Anyways this last week and a bit things are picking up a little with some coversions and acutal bonifide sales. It can only get better (is what I tells myself).

Feb was great for me. One thing I learned a long time ago (the hard way of course) was that you have to diversify. Rely on any one source of income (or traffic) and you're putting all your eggs in one basket. Get those hits coming in any way you can. From TGPs, free sites, CJs, SEs...

The more you diversify the less you have to worry about the dips in productivity when they come along.

I DO hear ya about being able to use more days in this month. I kinda feel like I was robbed outta 2 days.

Dilution is something I've believed in for a while too. That's why you've got to work your ass off NOW and stop spending 2, 3 hours playing those games or surfing napster and make that coin while you can.

If I could squeek a few more hours out of the day I'd be working on a few non adult projects just to completely round things out.

For 15 years the porn industry has concentrated mostly on marketing the product. The biggest improvement in the product has been HD and the size, speed of the delivery and quality of the image. We have ignored the actual product we sell and allowed it to slip.

It's been about titles on shelves and shelves, number of sites and traffic.

Even the best porn producers have put more into marketing than production. Some great pornographers are producing scenes in great quality and quantities. Yet the scene lacks something.

The result is a product the customer is less willing to buy than he has ever been. What ever the form of delivery, DVD, Internet, cable or magazines.

And yet we still obsess ourselves with marketing. The time has come to think about what the customers want and less about how to get more people who are less willing to part with cash.

There are a few exceptions who stand out, sadly too few.

On the paysite we've had our best month for well over a year. Traffic was down a bit conversions up. Mostly from our own traffic via some threads in the forum.

But we do have content no one else has, unique more than exclusive.
