Not releasing the report would be a massive mistake because the only reason he wouldn't release it is if it said bad things about him. If it really found no wrong doing by Trump wouldn't he want it out in the public? Shit, if it finds no wrong doing by Trump he will personally be at Kinko's making copies and handing it out. Trump was under some illusion that he was in charge and could run the show. His lack of political experience shows here - The President is not in charge and has to answer to his base, his party, the other party, the independents, everyone in Congress, and has to it while following certain rules, the Constitution, all other laws, and also has to answer to every group who has a voice.

This is why being President is so difficult - You have to please everyone.

Trump surrounded himself with "yes men" who have no political experience and don't understand how Washington works. The end result is in two years Trump has accomplished nothing, has a dozen investigations, and we talking about impeachment.

Both parties were following the talking points they were each given respectively.

The Republicans were told to push that Cohen is a bad guy.
The Democrats were told to ask questions that would embarrass Trump.

There were no "tough questions" asked. Because there is nothing "tough" to ask about.

Cohen had already spoken with the Democrat chair of the committee and Schiff and several others ahead of time to set up the questions. Every question asked by a Democrat was a softball question to Cohen that was pre-arranged and that they already know the answer to (since he told them ahead of time AND appeared before them the day before in private hearings).

And the Republicans didn't ask ANY questions. They just talked about how bad Cohen is.

The thing that has struck me since Cohen's offices were raided was: He was arrested over something that has NOTHING to do with Pres. Trump.

And yet...he is trashing Lawyer/Client privilege in a vain attempt to get himself some leniency on his jail sentence.

The Republican party had a dozen plus investigations into Hillary Clinton, none of which were ever any crimes. There is nothing illegal about the Secretary of State using her own email server; In fact, it was common, and Republicans do it too. (Seriously, one Republican Congressman had business cards printed with a Gmail address!) With Benghazi, there just wasn't any crime committed - none whatever ever.

The Republican party had dozens of investigations, not once of which returned a single indictment. It was an abuse of power with the only intention of harming a Presidential candidate.

This is a legitimate investigation to see if the Trump campaign worked with the Russian government, and we have discovered it in fact did work with the Russian government. Trump's campaign manager was actually handing over tons of data to Russian agents. Today we discovered that Roger Stone and Wikileaks were intermediaries between the Trump Campaign the Russian government. This is just two instances out of dozens of ways the Trump campaign worked with the Russian government.

The Republican party sat by for two years and did nothing.

The longer the investigation goes on, the more crimes we discover. We have dozens and dozens of people indicted, and people going to prison. Read this next line carefully....

Trump's campaign manager is going to prison for the rest of his life.
