I hope you are having a great week so far. Unfortunately, I am messaging you with some bad news. As you may have already heard Paxum has ceased US banking. Because of this, we are unable to send payments through Paxum going forward.

We've updated our COB form and set up a new policy allowing for expedited check mailing (with an increased minimum payout) at no cost to you. We know that cashing US checks outside of the States can get pretty costly, so we're trying to make that as painless as possible. Please complete the attached COB form and let me know if you have any questions.

Paxum Inc has been informed by their temporary card issuer Trucash that FIS decided to restrict Trashcash-issued Paxum card usage in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. This decision was made by FIS due to certain OFAC sanctions in those countries and regretfully Paxum was given no notice or choice in the matter. Cardholders can continue to use the Paxum card in other countries however transactions in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus are now restricted.

"We are shocked that this has happened, and we would like to reassure Paxum card-holder clients in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus that any funds currently loaded to their Trucash card will be fully returned to their main Paxum account so that alternative withdrawal options can be used. We will also be refunding the annual fee, pro-rated.” said a company spokesperson. “We will be looking into additional withdrawal options for clients in these countries as an urgent priority.” We are advising every affected user to use instead withdraw by external card to their own bank Mastercard issued card.

There is no need for affected Paxum clients to contact Paxum to receive the annual fee refund or reconciliation of their account funds as this process will be automatically performed by Paxum. In the meantime, existing alternative withdrawal options are fully functional and Paxum clients in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus can continue to withdraw funds by Wire Transfer to their local bank account or by Withdrawing to an External Master Card Credit Card."

Australia doesn't have sanctions, or financial problems. Paxum is just crap at what they do, a proportion of their account holders can't get their money while Paxum collects fees and gobbles it all up.

I can't withdraw to an Australian credit card and EFT is not available to Australia, they have been happy to charge fees while I can't withdraw. I'd go so far as to say Paxum has become a scam.

Paxum might as well be dead. How Ruth can represent this shit dumpster fire of a company is beyond my comprehension, I guess you've got to earn a paycheque somehow even if you are selling your soul to assholes.

My theory is that the harder Paxum make it for some account holders to get their money, the less money they have to pay out. I would bet that Paxum use factoring and don't hold enough in funds to pay out everyone if the whole Paxum userbase tried to withdraw their holdings.

This is just my opinion, but Paxum have not acted in good faith, Ruth comes on and makes wonderful announcements but doesn't answer direct questions.

If Paxum wanted the people who cannot access their funds to actually get their funds then they could offer to send a cheque containing the funding balance and close out the account.

However Paxum are relying on the revenue from all the people (and there's a lot of them) who can't withdraw funds.

Ruth is silent on the issue of MasterCard and Visa Withdrawals not working. EFT is not available to every country including Australia, so effectively there's no way to be paid. Yet Paxum are happy to reduce your account balance monthly with a fee.

The money in my account (as small amount as it is) might as well not be there because there's absolutely no way to recover it.

Therefore Paxum is a scam, it's preying on people who cannot possibly withdraw their funds.

Paxum is not dead. Unfortunately this decision was out of our control regarding Russia, Ukraine and Belarus cards. Only Paxum card transactions in these countries are affected, our other withdrawal methods are working fine for these regions, and Paxum cards are working fine everywhere else.

Please see our statement below:

We regret to inform you that, as of Tuesday (2018-12-18), we were notified, by our temporary card processor, Trucash, that FIS decided to block Trucash-issued Paxum cards in your area. This decision was made by FIS due to certain OFAC sanctions in Russian Federation, Ukraine and Belarus, and regretfully Paxum was given no notice or choice in the matter.

For the moment, you can continue to use the Paxum card in any other country and at any POS terminal that's located outside the previously mentioned countries. If you want to have the funds returned to your Paxum Current USD account, please contact the processor (by sending an email to [email protected]) and ask them to process your transfer request. As an estimate, we were told that it will take around one week for them to process this request and for the funds to be available in your Paxum Current USD account.

If you chose to have the funds returned to the Current USD account, you will be able to withdraw them through any of the other available methods (WIRE, to your bank account, and/or to one of your External Debit or Credit MasterCard). We're also looking into additional withdrawal options for clients in your area, as an urgent priority, and we hope to have them available soon.

Regarding the annual fee, since you can no longer properly use the card, we will reverse part of it to your account. To be more exact, we will return the amount associated with the number of months you couldn't properly use the card.

ANY transaction counts as a transaction. Sending funds, receiving funds, withdrawing funds etc.

I waited on the card forever but it works fine...its the only payment option for some and less than perfect service is better than no service at all...if you do not have heavy skin in the game you are not really doing anybody any favors with this crusade over 100$...adult processing is a beggars cant be choosers type of situation at the moment...

I get cheques from all my sponsors now, paying a small fee for a foreign cheque is far less painful than dealing with Paxum.

I'm not on a crusade over $100, I'm agitated that Paxum are pulling this shit on a lot of people and that means there's a whole lot of cash that Paxum are hanging on to that can never be exited from Paxum.

Let's look at the facts, they lost US banking, they lost natively issued cards, they've lost Eastern European transfers, they operate out of a Canadian post office box or virtual office. Something is up with Paxum. From the inept customer service to all the regulatory problems they have had there has to be something improper going on.

If for any reason your credit card issuer does not accept the deposit they will have to send back the funds to us as we cannot stop the transaction from our end. Please note, this option is NOT available in Canada, USA, Israel or Japan. Supported card brands: Visa, Visa Electron, MC, Maestro. nothing else to added same as usual ... i guess

However Paxum are relying on the revenue from all the people (and there's a lot of them) who can't withdraw funds. Ruth is silent on the issue of MasterCard and Visa Withdrawals not working. EFT is not available to every country including Australia, so effectively there's no way to be paid. Yet Paxum are happy to reduce your account balance monthly with a fee. The money in my account (as small amount as it is) might as well not be there because there's absolutely no way to recover it. Therefore Paxum is a scam, it's preying on people who cannot possibly withdraw their funds.

Only Paxum card transactions in these countries are affected, our other withdrawal methods are working fine for these regions, and Paxum cards are working fine everywhere else. This decision was made by FIS due to certain OFAC sanctions in Russian Federation, Ukraine and Belarus, and regretfully Paxum was given no notice or choice in the matter. For the moment, you can continue to use the Paxum card in any other country and at any POS terminal that's located outside the previously mentioned countries. If you want to have the funds returned to your Paxum Current USD account, please contact the processor (by sending an email to [email protected]) and ask them to process your transfer request. As an estimate, we were told that it will take around one week for them to process this request and for the funds to be available in your Paxum Current USD account.
